About the job

Do you want to help establish a new national partnership for a greener health care system? Are you a strong versatile profile who can drive tasks independently, build good collaborations and translate complex agendas into clear communication and concrete results?

The Faculty of Health Sciences (SUND) at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a project assistant to establish National Partnership for Research and Innovation for a Greener Health Care System and for other strategic tasks in the faculty's Support Department.

The position offers a rare opportunity to help build a new national partnership from the ground up. You will work closely with leaders, researchers, actors from the health service, universities and business organizations and play a central role in creating relationships, engagement and progress in the partnership's first year.

Half of your time will be linked to the partnership. The other part will be anchored more broadly in SUND's Support Department. Here you will join a varied portfolio of strategic and cross-cutting tasks, e.g. within sustainability, executive support and policy, depending on your competences and experiences.

About the partnership and the position

We are together with a large number of partners in establishing National Partnership for Research and Innovation for a Greener Health Care. The partnership shall mobilize, promote and coordinate development, implementation and scaling of concrete solutions that measurably reduce the health service's negative impact on climate and environment and at the same time increase its resilience. Partners include all Danish universities and regions as well as the Danish Medicines Industry Association, Medicoindustrien and Dansk Erhverv.

You will become part of the partnership's project group, which is the engine room of the establishment and will contribute to progress across the involved parties. The project group works, among other things, with project planning, production of drafts and other deliverables, coordination of meetings and workshops, cooperation with external consultants, communication and dialogue with stakeholders.

You will have a special role in the partnership's work with mobilization, advocacy and communication. You will work to build and maintain relationships with foundations, companies, authorities, research environments and other key stakeholders. At the same time you will help to create visibility and engagement around the partnership's activities and ambitions. Your focus lies in and around the partnership's mobilization and communications track, which must ensure visibility, dialogue and collaboration with the many important actors in and around the partnership.

But the role is broader than communication. As an integrated part of the project group you will also contribute to the development of the partnership's other deliverables and to planning and execution of activities and processes. We therefore seek a strong versatile profile who can take responsibility for different types of tasks and move between communication, project support, stakeholder engagement and development tasks.

Your tasks

Your concrete tasks will develop as the partnership and the department's needs grow. You will among other things:

  • contribute to planning and execution of the partnership's projects, processes, meetings and workshops.
  • contribute to the partnership's work with communication, mobilization and advocacy.
  • support dialogue and relationship-building with foundations, companies, authorities, research environments and other key stakeholders.
  • translate complex professional and strategic content into clear messages, briefs and targeted communication.
  • prepare, among other things, notes, presentations, meeting materials, news, social media and website content.
  • contribute to the development and production of the partnership's strategic and professional deliverables, notably a communications and advocacy strategy.
  • coordinate activities and collaborations across organizations and professional fields.
  • solve other project-, development- and policy tasks in SUND's Support Department.

About you

We imagine you have a relevant higher education degree and ideally around 3-5 years of relevant professional experience. You have built a strong generalist profile and are used to independently driving tasks within e.g. project support, communication, advocacy or development.

We emphasize that you

  • have strong written competencies and can translate complex issues into clear and usable outputs.
  • have experience in driving tasks and smaller processes independently from start to finish.
  • have good communication skills and an eye for different audiences, messages and formats.
  • have flair for advocacy, relationship-building and collaboration with different types of actors.
  • quickly can immerse yourself in new and complex areas and identify what is needed to move a task forward.
  • can analyze and structure issues and translate them into concrete briefs, processes or activities.
  • work in a structured way and take responsibility, but at the same time thrive on solving tasks together with others.
  • can navigate a day-to-day with different agendas, stakeholders and changing tasks.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the health sector, the academic world or the sustainability field. Experience from a politically led organization, public administration, an interest organization or other complex organizations can also be relevant.

You become part of something that is to be built

There is already broad support for the partnership among regions, universities and industry, and both a steering group and a working group have been established.

In 2027 the ambitions should be translated into an actual organization with a binding partnership agreement, a strategy and a funding plan as well as the first 3-5 research and innovation programs.

You therefore join at a time when the direction is set, but much remains to be developed. It gives you the opportunity to play a central role in translating the ambitions into concrete activities, collaborations and results.

We offer

You will become part of a strong and versatile team in the Support Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences with skilled and engaged colleagues. We offer an exciting and varied workday in a department with an informal tone, good humor and a focus on the well-being of the individual and the department.

The employment is full-time for 1 year and will be as a legal officer (fuldmægtig) or possibly a special consultant (specialkonsulent) according to the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and academics in the state (AC agreement). There is potential for negotiation of an allowance based on qualifications. Start date: 1 January 2027.
