About the job

Are you a student and motivated by working at the intersection of project management, technology and business development? Do you want to gain relevant experience from complex IT and transformation projects with some of Denmark's largest companies - while becoming part of one of the world's largest consulting firms? Then you may be our new PMO student assistant.

IBM FutureNow Center is a consulting and delivery unit in the IBM group, where we provide industry-specific expertise and development of new technology. We work closely with some of Denmark's largest private and public organisations to drive digital transformation and create innovative solutions with real business value.

We are seeking an ambitious and structured student assistant who wants hands-on experience with PMO work, project coordination and data analysis in a professional consulting environment. The role combines classic PMO tasks with analytical work in Excel, where you will have the opportunity to support projects and management with insight, reporting and structure.

The role is an opportunity for you who want to translate your studies into practice and build experience in project management, stakeholder management, analysis and consulting work. You become an active part of the deliveries and gain insight into how complex projects are run in collaboration with large clients. But it can also at times be characterised by routine tasks.

The tasks will include

  • Support the project team with coordination, structuring and optimization of PMO-related processes
  • Document requirements specifications as well as update and maintain project materials, status reporting and working documents

Preparation of data analyses, ad hoc analyses and research for decision-making bases in project and management forums

Preparation, maintenance and further development of project-, business intelligence- and operations reports in Excel

  • Support Solution Leads and architects with the preparation and quality assurance of technical documents
  • Prepare presentation material for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to follow-up on project processes, deadlines and deliverables in close collaboration with project managers, consultants and stakeholders across the organisation

We offer

An exciting student position in a dynamic IT consultancy, where you get the opportunity to gain experience that is directly relevant for a future career in project management, technology or the consultancy industry. With us, the work life is characterized by strong shared values and an informal culture focused on succeeding together, while we are ambitious and in constant development. You will receive responsibility, sparring and the opportunity for ongoing development – both professionally and personally. A bit about the practicalities:

  • About 20 hours per week with flexibility in relation to your studies
  • Close collaboration with experienced project managers, consultants and specialists
  • Access to certifications and relevant training
  • A social and professionally strong study environment with other student workers
  • Workplace: We are seeking 2 students in Copenhagen and 2 students in Aarhus
  • Application deadline: As soon as possible
  • Start: 1 January 2027
  • Contact: If you have questions, you are welcome to contact Recruitment & Operations Lead Julie Ovesen at [email protected]

We imagine you are currently pursuing a relevant advanced education at or beyond the 3rd semester. The exact field of study is less important to us. We place greater emphasis on your approach to work, your curiosity about the consulting industry and your potential than on your specific study track.

In addition, we expect that you

  • Are analytical, structured and thrive with coordination, processes and documentation
  • Are strong in Excel and motivated to work with data, reporting and analyses
  • Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Have drive, are curious and good at collaborating with different stakeholders, and thrive in a day-to-day with many different tasks and shifting priorities
  • Have good communication skills and speak/write fluent Danish and English

It is an advantage if you

  • Have knowledge of agile working methods or project work
  • Have an interest in technology and digital solutions and potentially a career path in the future within e.g. development, SAP, cloud, architecture or project management
