About the job

Project Developer for regulatory work and planning of biogas plants

Would you like to help develop the biogas plants of the future and make a difference in the development of circular energy solutions?

We are seeking an engineer or colleague with another technical background who will take responsibility for planning and development of new projects within biogas production and CO₂ capture.

As part of Bigadan you will contribute to the development of biogas plants and technologies that convert organic residual products into valuable resources. We collect and bio-gasify organic residual products such as slurry and food waste into valuable biogenic products – including liquid biogenic CO₂ for underground storage and, of course, biogas for the gas network. Products that benefit society at large. In short, we create circular loops between city, countryside and industry with biogas technology.

About the job

Bigadan is in the process of expanding its biogas plants, and we therefore need a colleague who can drive planning, project development and regulatory processing in the projects.

Your main tasks will be

  • Preparation of project descriptions and applications for large and small projects
  • Participate in project development and contribute knowledge to the schedule and the authorities' process up to the construction phase
  • Manage dialogue with the project's stakeholders, including authorities and consultants
  • Contribute to obtaining relevant documentation prior to commissioning of projects

The workplace is at the head office in Skanderborg, (and you will regularly visit our biogas plants around Denmark.) In addition, you have the possibility of remote work days.

Qualifications

We imagine you have a technical background – e.g. as an engineer – preferably with several years of experience in a similar position in either a private or public company, or as an authority at a municipality, region or agency.

Biogas projects touch a wide range of authorities and laws. It is an advantage to have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Emergency preparedness law, technical regulations and the Gas Safety Act
  • Building Regulation
  • Environmental Protection Act, including environmental assessments and environmental permits
  • SEVESO Directive and risk establishments
  • Planning Act, including local planning and municipal plan frames

We are a company with a down-to-earth approach to work. We have deep roots in the Jutland soil, a strong familial spirit and help each other across the organization with everyday challenges and tasks. We have a tasty and varied lunch scheme and you will become part of our health package, which among other things includes health research. In addition we hold social events outside working hours to strengthen community and build relationships across our workplaces.

About Bigadan

We develop, build, operate and own biogas plants and work across the entire value chain from sourcing of organic residual products to the production of energy, biogenic CO₂ and biogas fertilizer. We operate 10 biogas plants, of which 3 have CO₂ relocation facilities, as well as a number of gas stations.

Every day we convert animal slurry, food waste and other organic residual products into products of value for the energy, agricultural and industrial sectors. It contributes to security of supply, ensures better use of resources and recycles nutrients back to the soil.
