Apply for the position
Do you want to lead complex water and wastewater projects with significant societal impact?
At Sweco we work with solutions that go far beyond the individual project. In the Water and Climate department we advise both utilities and industrial customers on facilities and systems that must operate safely, efficiently and sustainably – also many years into the future. This requires strong professional insight, but just as much the ability to create an overview, bring stakeholders together and ensure that projects move safely from idea to reality.
As a project manager you will be a central driving force in this work. You will have the responsibility to lead projects where technical solutions, authorities' requirements, customer needs and cross-disciplinary collaboration must come together in a coherent whole.
About the position
The role as project manager spans a wide range and gives you the opportunity to take responsibility for both progression, quality and relationships in projects within wastewater and treatment plants. You become the link between customers, authorities and Sweco’s project engineers and technical specialists – and play a central role in ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with agreed goals, frameworks and expectations. You will be attached to a professional environment based in Jutland or Funen and will collaborate closely with colleagues across the country.
Your tasks will include
- Leadership and management of projects within planning, design and development of treatment facilities
- Coordination of cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring coherence between technical deliverables
- Ongoing dialogue with customers and authorities, including handling permits and stakeholder requirements
- Professional sparring on process choices, optimization and future treatment requirements
- Preparation and quality assurance of tender materials, technical descriptions and decision bases
- Contributions to building and maintaining customer relationships as well as identifying new project opportunities
About you
You are a project manager who thrives with responsibility and has a view for both the whole and the details. You can create structure in complex contexts and have natural authority based on professionalism, trust and collaboration. At the same time you understand the customers’ business and can translate technical solutions into value for both the customer and society.
We imagine that you
- Are educated as mechanical or process engineer
- Have +10 years of experience within the wastewater field – for example from consultancy, industry or utilities
- Have experience with leading technical projects and collaborating with external stakeholders
In addition you have experience with or knowledge of
- Authority processes, including discharge and connection permits
- Design and process understanding for public treatment plants
- Preparation of tender materials and technical specification requirements
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration and coordination in larger projects
- Building and maintaining professional relationships and networks
