Project Manager/Foreman

Would you like to help lead exciting maritime projects at JOBI VÆRFT A/S?

JOBI VÆRFT A/S is seeking an engaged project manager/fabrication manager for a permanent position. You will play a central role in the daily operations and execution of our projects. We service among others the Navy's vessels, local fishermen and various commercial ships and have tasks spanning a wide range within the maritime industry. At the shipyard we have a strong focus on quality and safety.

We are primarily looking for a good teammate with strong technical understanding. You should be willing to take responsibility, lead employees and ensure that tasks are solved in close and professional collaboration with both customers and the rest of the team.

Your tasks

You will have a varied daily routine, where you follow the projects closely from the initial customer contact to the vessel handover. You should be visible in daily operations and have your presence on the workshop, slipway and office.

Your primary tasks will be

• Bid calculation and obtaining offers from subcontractors.
• Planning and coordination of the work at the workshop and on the slipway.
• Daily leadership and ongoing follow-up on the work tasks.
• Customer contact and proactive dialogue about the projects' progress.
• Collaboration with employees, subcontractors and the rest of the management.
• Quality assurance and documentation in cooperation with the relevant authorities and class societies.
• Financial follow-up and post-calculation in cooperation with the administration.

In the beginning you will handle the management tasks in close sparring with the other management. As you settle into the role, you will have the opportunity to take on a larger, more independent responsibility.

Who are you?

For us the most important thing is to find the right profile that fits into our team both personally and professionally. We imagine that you have a technical or maritime background, for example as a ship fitter, engineer, marine engineer (maskinmester), technical assistant or similar. You can also have obtained your qualifications through solid practical experience as a foreman.

We do not expect you to know everything from day one. You will receive a thorough introduction to the company and our working methods, as well as close sparring with management, administration and experienced colleagues.

The position is full-time with regular daytime hours. Overtime may occur in peak periods, but we place a high value on a healthy balance between work and leisure. Practical prerequisites

Security clearance

As we work on Navy vessels, it is an explicit prerequisite for employment that you can obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.
