About the job

Your job

As a Project Manager in Marketing & Development you will play a key role in VandCenter Syd's externally oriented work, where we offer knowledge and advisory services on drinking water and wastewater supply on cross-cutting projects – both nationally and internationally.

Your base will be our office in Odense C, but you can expect 8-12 weeks of travel activity spread over the year.

Projects abroad you typically solve in collaboration with consultants, contractors and authorities, where you also get the opportunity to participate in assignments within your technical field.

On the home front you support the development of the Danish water sector through collaborative work with our owner municipalities and other large utility companies in Denmark. The exact form of the agreement we decide based on your professional profile.

In short, your main task is to set the professional direction and develop VandCenter Syd's sales of services and know-how.

Det gør du ved at

  • Develop projects together with actors across the Danish water sector
  • Coordinate international tasks and prepare bids
  • Develop training programs for employees in foreign water companies
  • Seek new collaborations that match our services and profile
  • Document completed projects in writing and orally
  • Promote awareness of VandCenter Syd's international work

Your colleagues

Your new team is called Marketing & Development and comprises six skilled colleagues who, in their respective fields, work to further develop and disseminate VandCenter Syd's special expertise in drinking water and wastewater management.

You will become part of a strong professional community around international activities and build close relationships across the entire organization. In addition, you will also collaborate with many external partners.

Across VandCenter Syd you will work with 200+ skilled and engaged colleagues across a wide range of disciplines.

About you

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a technical background such as engineer or marine engineer and solid professional insight into the water or environmental sector (e.g., within utilities, drinking water, wastewater or similar)
  • Is outgoing and takes pride in building good and trusting relationships
  • Is curious and wants to work in and with different cultures. It helps if you already have experience with international water or environmental projects
  • Is well spoken in English, both written and spoken
  • Takes initiative and thrives with prospecting work and building a network

Who you are otherwise, we look forward to finding out. We believe diversity makes us smarter and the workday more enjoyable. So we look forward to hearing from exactly the person you are – whether you are a water dog, landlubber, or something entirely different.

What do you get with us?

We can offer you an exciting full-time job with great flexibility and influence on your working day. You will have the opportunity to develop your profession and grow in a meaningful industry that focuses on the environment and vital infrastructure. And not least you will have many good colleagues in a company with both strong professionalism and room for fun.

Additionally, we are a workplace that explores new paths and highly prioritizes continuing education. We place great emphasis on well-being and spice up the workday with, among other things, social events, exercise, and a tasty canteen arrangement. We have wages according to KL agreement, paid lunch break, flexible hours, a weekly well-being hour, and the possibility of working from home.

We look forward to hearing from you
