About the job
Do you have solid horticultural experience, a strong understanding of plant cultures, and a desire to be part of a team where professionalism, curiosity and collaboration go hand in hand? Then you may be the one we are looking for at LUNDAGER.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated gardener for our production at Fangelvej 36 in Odense, where we work with propagation and cultivation of a wide range of green plants.
Production at no. 36 primarily focuses on tissue culture – lab-formed small plants. Depending on subsequent production, the plants are either planted in 6 cm pots, where they are grown to be sold, or stuck into plugs, before they are sent to our other production departments to be grown in larger pot sizes.
Here you have the opportunity to apply your expertise in an exciting production with many different plant cultures, where quality, precision and an understanding of the plants’ needs are essential.
We are looking for a colleague who loves their trade, wants to share their knowledge and at the same time is curious about what others can learn from each other.
About the job
You will become part of our production at no. 36, where you will play an important role in the daily care and development of our plant cultures.
Your main tasks will be
- Watering, fertilizing and plant protection.
- Ongoing assessment of the plants’ growth, health and development.
- Prevention and handling of diseases and pests.
- Adjustment and optimization of cultivation methods.
- Professional sparring and knowledge sharing with your colleagues.
- Contributing to the development of good routines and workflows in production.
- Ensuring high quality and consistency in our plant cultures.
You will work closely with the department’s production manager and your other colleagues, and you report to our Production Manager, who is themselves a qualified gardener.
The position includes weekend shifts on a fixed rotation schedule.
Who are you?
We imagine that you are a trained gardener with solid experience in plant production. You have a strong cultural understanding and know how watering, fertilizing, climate and plant protection interact and influence the plants’ development.
We place great emphasis on your professional competence, but also on your approach to work and the people you work with.
We hope you recognize yourself in the following
- You are professionally strong and curious. You have solid knowledge, but are also open to new methods, cultures and perspectives.
- You readily share your knowledge. You thrive on professional sparring and see it as a natural part of everyday life to both teach and learn from others.
- You take responsibility. You work independently, follow up on your tasks and have an eye for where adjustments may be needed.
- You are reflective and solution-oriented. You are interested in understanding why something works – or doesn’t – and are also willing to review your own workflows.
- You are a good colleague. You treat others with respect, are approachable and contribute to good collaboration.
- You have a sense of the whole. You understand that our departments depend on each other, and that we achieve the best results when we work to ensure that the whole LUNDAGER succeeds.
You do not need to know all our cultures in advance. The most important is that you have a solid professional foundation and the desire to understand our plants, processes and workflows.
What do we offer?
At LUNDAGER you become part of a company with a broad plant production, different cultures and colleagues with many different competencies.
We offer
- A stimulating everyday life where you have the opportunity to use your gardening experience.
- Opportunity for professional deepening and development.
- Influence on cultivation methods and workflows.
- Close collaboration with dedicated colleagues and leaders.
- A workplace where we value professionalism, initiative and good ideas.
- An everyday life with independent responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference.
