About the job

Do you want to work with quality, documentation and development in the health and elderly care sector – both close to practice and close to the political and administrative leadership? Then you might be our new quality consultant.

The Syddjurs Municipality Council has chosen to prioritise quality development in the elderly care and health area, and therefore we are now creating an additional position. You will enter the quality agenda at an exciting time, where we already work systematically to strengthen quality follow-up and create even better conditions for learning, development and quality improvements. We want an increased focus on early and data-driven detection of quality challenges in care.

You will play a central role in translating data, professional knowledge and organizational ambitions into concrete improvements that can be felt in everyday life for citizens, employees and managers.

You will be part of the Secretariat for Health and Learning – a professionally strong department with extensive knowledge, high wellbeing and a strong sense of community. Here you will have skilled colleagues who help each other, and great freedom to plan your work. You will also join a quality and education team, where you will receive close sparring with another employee who also works with quality and development. Our secretariat has high ceilings, an informal tone, and a focus on both results and job satisfaction.

You report to the secretariat chief and will have tasks close to the manager, employees and other leadership in Health and Elderly. At the same time you will collaborate broadly with the rest of the organization and be an important sparring partner in the work with quality, learning and improvements.

Your main tasks

As a quality consultant you will

  • Support quality work across care homes, citizen teams and the health area, including contributing to the further development and implementation of the municipality’s model for quality follow-up.
  • Implement and ensure guidelines, instructions and legislation in the health and elderly area, including among other things via MyMedCards and Plan2Learn.
  • Management support and coordination before, during and after inspections from the Danish Safety Authority and the Danish Elderly Care Inspectorate and in the event of adverse events.
  • Work systematically with quality data, analyses and follow-up to support learning and improvements.
  • Carry out and follow up audits within, for example, documentation, medication management and other relevant quality themes within the elderly and health area.
  • Provide practice-oriented sparring and training in quality improvement methods to leaders, employees and key personnel.
  • Contribute to further development of the Common Language III and support the use of Cura in developing a strong documentation practice.
  • Facilitate and drive networks, including networks for quality managers in daily operations and other key personnel.
  • Prepare analyses, management information and decision papers and drive development projects within quality development.

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague who thrives in collaboration with different professional disciplines, has a sense of structure, follows up tasks to completion and contributes with good humor, curiosity and engagement.

We imagine that you

  • Have a health-professional education, preferably supplemented with relevant continuing education or an academic higher degree.
  • Have experience with quality work and quality improvements in the health or elderly area.
  • Preferably knowledge of MyMedCards, Common Language III and CURA.
  • Have experience with audits or a desire to build competencies within the area.
  • Have experience with the improvement model or other methods for systematic quality development.
  • Work methodically, analytically and data-driven.
  • Are strong in both verbal and written communication.
  • Can navigate a politically governed organization and build good relations across organizational levels and different professional groups.
  • Thrive with both development tasks, teaching and practice-oriented support.
  • Are a team player who can both support, challenge and create momentum.

We offer

  • An exciting newly created position with the opportunity to influence the development of the quality area in Syddjurs Municipality.
  • An challenging and versatile job with great responsibility and a high degree of independence.
  • The opportunity to work closely with both strategic and practice-oriented development.
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • A strong professional environment with engaged colleagues and high wellbeing.
  • Flexible working arrangements and the possibility of home office by agreement.
  • A municipality with high ambitions, strong values and clear leadership support.

Your workplace will be the administration building in Ebeltoft. As part of the tasks, you will also need to work from the administration building in Hornslet, and at various offerings in the municipality. You will be employed in the Secretariat for Health and Learning, which covers two large professional areas: Children and Learning as well as Health and Elderly. Children and Learning handles tasks within day care, schools, Youth School and PPR, while Health and Elderly is responsible for home care, nursing, nursing homes, health area, visits and aids, etc.
