Regional Manager for Banedanmark's Traffic Control Centers

We are seeking an area manager who will be responsible for efficient and punctual traffic operations – even as the railway undergoes major changes.

The Traffic Control Centers area comprises the two large traffic control centers in East and West Denmark. Here, traffic operations are coordinated as our new signaling system is rolled out. Until the full rollout, the area also includes remote control centers and command posts on sections where traffic is handled with traditional signaling equipment.

As area manager you have the overall responsibility for a complex, nationwide operational delivery, where safe, efficient and punctual traffic operations are the main task. You lead an organization that is on duty 24/7 every day of the year, and you must be able to set a clear operational direction, prioritise under pressure and ensure consistent follow-up and execution. At the same time you will collaborate with the management of Banedanmark and with the railway companies to anchor decisions and coordinate cross-cutting processes in traffic operations.

Operations Manager with a railway traffic background

It is a requirement that you have traffic experience from the railway and thus familiarity with the conditions, priorities and decisions that shape the operative traffic operations. You have an interest in complex operations management and have solid experience in leading through other leaders.

You have documented experience coordinating a 24/7 staffed operating organization and supporting organizational development together with highly specialized professionals.

Your educational background is not decisive. The crucial thing is that, with your traffic experience and managerial weight, you can create direction, stability and momentum.

You have good communication and negotiation skills and are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Salary

As area manager, the appointment is on a fixed-term basis in salary group 1 under the framework agreement on contract employment in the state.
