Cleaning Assistant and Café Assistant in a New Museum – Perron1, Museum Skanderborg

Museum Skanderborg has undergone an ambitious renovation and development project and now opens Perron1, the museum's new main department, at Skanderborg Station.

We are seeking a cleaning assistant who can plan and supervise ongoing cleaning of the museum's various areas and who can help with clearing in the cafe areas during periods. The ongoing cleaning also takes place while there are visitors in the museum, and therefore it is important that you are also willing to take on the museum's hosting role and assist guests who approach us.

Your tasks

• Daily cleaning of the museum's cafe, shop, administration areas, archive, exhibition and seating areas as well as toilets.
• Plan a professional, structured cleaning in a building with a high quality standard.
• Ongoing help with clearing after guests and with wiping counters, windows and tables in the cafe and seating areas as needed.
• Answer questions about the museum from guests.
• Dispose of waste.
• Cleaning in connection with special events in daytime and evening hours.

We expect that you

• Have cleaning experience.
• Are responsible, professional, work in a structured way and have attention to detail.
• Can work both independently and with others.
• Are outgoing and cheerful.
• Are flexible with respect to working hours, which may vary in connection with the museum's special events.

We help each other in the museum team and ensure that you are well introduced to the museum's area, profile and the hosting role that we want all employees to take on in relation to our many different guests.

• Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement.

• Working hours, Monday to Friday 8-14.

About Museum Skanderborg

Museum Skanderborg contains five museum departments and a city archive with five local archives. The museum preserves the cultural heritage of the Skanderborg Municipality. We take care of history; we collect, register, preserve and research history and communicate it to the municipality's citizens and other visitors.

The overall narrative at Museum Skanderborg is the sum of the permanent exhibitions and archival materials distributed across the different departments.

There are about 35 employees corresponding to 22 full-time equivalents. There are about 200 volunteers under contract, and the nine affiliated friends' associations have more than 1500 members in total.

We have an annual turnover of about 20 million DKK, of which about 10 million is subsidies from state and municipality.
