REPOST - A social educator working 37 hours per week at Døgninstitution Dyringparken in Brøndby Municipality

We are looking for an engaged colleague with a good mood, who wants to work with our lovely young people who have different challenges. The position is to start as soon as possible.

The 24-hour facility is located in a residential area in Brøndby Strand, where we have a good relationship with the neighbours. The young people consider the 24-hour facility as their home, which we have arranged to be homely and cozy, where we all look after our things.

We place emphasis on creating good relationships with the young people, and we focus on the youths' resources, among other things through activities that create good experiences. So it is important that you can see opportunities instead of limitations, and that you are good at motivating young people.

The target group is disadvantaged youths aged 13-23 years who have complex problems. We have eight overnight places, as well as a transition house with room for three youths, where the youths can stay until they are 23 years old.

A little about us

The total staff group consists of a manager, an assistant manager, six social educators and two awake night shifts and a part-time handyman.

We work with the youths having a daily fixed structure, as this helps to create predictability and security for the youths.

We plan out-of-house activities every weekend and go on holidays; in the summer we traveled to Rome. There is an opportunity for you to contribute ideas, be creative and think outside the box in relation to the work with the youths.

We work with an appreciative pedagogy, and we place a strong emphasis on collaboration with the youths' parents. In addition, we work based on cognitive behavioral therapy, which is reflected in our daily work.

• have a category B driving licence so you can drive the facility's car
• also, it is a prerequisite that you can handle conflicts with the youths, and that you act in a conflict-de-escalating manner.

Salary and terms of employment

Working hours will be alternating between day shifts and evening shifts, but most shifts will be in the period 14:30-23:00, and work every 3rd weekend.

We have fixed awake night shifts and no overnight shifts.

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement in the SL area and after agreement on local wage formation.

Depending on your seniority, the salary is 35,764-38,292 DKK per month plus allowances and pension.
