We are looking for a colleague who wants to help support and further develop our research environment – and who thrives in having a central role where many different people and tasks come together.

You will become a key person in our research environment and will have a central role in supporting the department's professor and other researchers. You will also have a broad interface with colleagues across disciplines and the organization.

Your daily life will be varied, and you will have the opportunity to shape your own tasks and help develop good workflows and structures. We need a colleague who can both keep track of details, create overview and help good ideas progress to concrete results.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Administrative and coordinating support for the department's professor and research environment, including preparation of presentations, case documents, notes and consultation responses.
  • Planning and coordination of meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes, and follow-up on decisions.
  • Coordination and follow-up on research projects, development processes and implementation tasks.
  • Support for grant applications and fundraising, including an overview of relevant foundations and application deadlines.
  • Follow-up on research budgets, project finances, agreements and relevant approvals.
  • Development and systematization of administrative workflows that can make everyday life easier for our researchers.
  • Collection and dissemination of data for use in decision support and development.
  • Communication of the department's research results and activities, for example via newsletters, website and social media.
  • Ongoing administrative support for the department's research projects.
  • Support the department's UPL, clinical lecturers and the clinical professor in relation to the upcoming medical education, including coordination with Aarhus University.

The final allocation of tasks will be determined based on your competencies, and you do not need to have experience with all tasks in advance. There will be ample opportunity to build an interesting portfolio of tasks based on your competencies and interests, as tasks continually evolve.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education, preferably at Master’s level, and that you have an interest in – or experience with – research, project coordination and administrative processes.

You may already have experience from a research environment, a public organization or the healthcare sector. Perhaps you are relatively newly graduated and ready to bring your skills into play in an exciting and varied position.

The most important for us is that you have the desire, commitment and ability to create structure and progress in a setting with many different tasks and collaborative relationships.

We hope you recognize yourself in the following

  • You work independently, in a structured way and naturally take responsibility for your tasks.
  • You have a good overview, are good at prioritizing and have a sense for both details and deadlines.
  • You are curious, proactive and see opportunities rather than limits.
  • You thrive in a daily life where tasks vary and not everything can be planned in advance.
  • You are good at collaborating and building relationships across disciplines.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in both Danish and English.
  • You have a flair for administrative systems, coordination and preferably project finances.
  • You want to actively contribute to both task solving and the good collegial community.

Experience with research administration, grant applications or working in a politically led organization would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

What can we offer you?

First and foremost, we offer you a meaningful job where you get the opportunity to make a real difference for our researchers and for the development of our department.

You will be part of an environment with skilled, engaged and ambitious colleagues who are passionate about their work and about creating new knowledge that benefits patients.

With us you will get

  • An exciting and independent position with great opportunity to influence your own tasks.
  • A close collaboration with the department's professor, researchers and leadership.

  • A varied workday with tasks ranging from practical coordination to more complex research administration processes.
  • A strong interdisciplinary work community with high professionalism and great helpfulness.
