Respite workers for families and children with disabilities

Hours are between 6 and 20 hours per month, and the working time will most often be scheduled in the period after 2:00 PM on weekdays, as well as on weekends.

You are asked in your application to indicate when you are available to work. Also please indicate whether you possess a driving license and possibly a car.

The target group is families of children or young people with reduced mental or physical functioning, as well as children with developmental disorders such as ADHD or autism.

As a respite carer, your task is to support the child in having good experiences. This can involve activities and companionship at home, participation in hobbies, outings outside the child's home, etc.

A concrete job description will be defined at a startup meeting.

We expect that you for the position as a respite carer

• Have the willingness to work with children with a disability
• Have an interest in entering into close cooperation with the family of the child with a disability
• Have empathy and a heart in the right place
• Be clear and explicit in your communication
• Be proactive and able to work independently
