Roskilde Municipality is looking for childminders

Here's what daily life as a day care provider looks like – and we need you: Parents are asking for more day care slots, so we are currently looking for day care providers in Roskilde Municipality.

As a day care provider you work independently in your own home, but you also belong to a small group of day care colleagues with whom you are in full-day playroom together once a week. The day care system has seven playrooms with good play environments, and local guest arrangements that take care of the supervision of your child group when you take time off.

You plan and structure your day yourself, based on the children's needs. You are passionate about giving children up to 3 years old a good start in life, with the best possibilities to develop with well-being, care and learning in everyday life.

You will receive support from your manager and the day care pedagogue to create a safe and developing environment, in the home-like settings you provide for the children.

Salary and employment conditions When we hire new day care providers, it happens in two steps: First your physical premises are approved – then we hold a personal interview.

Day care providers are available 48 hours per week. Through this you accrue a half-day off per month and an extra day off per year. You will be paid according to the collective agreement with FOA. As a day care provider in your own home you have, according to tax law, a tax deduction of 60% of the salary you earn as a day care provider beyond your ordinary deductions.

The law requires that we obtain criminal and child protection checks for you and your spouse and for children living at home over 15 years old. In addition, references will be collected for you – as the preferred candidate – before employment.

Roskilde Municipality uses an electronic recruitment system. You must therefore submit your application, CV and other relevant documentation of your experience through this system as well as any diploma.
