SAABU is the Sønderborg Municipality's offering of protected employment in the disability sector.

SAABU has both internal and external offerings. You will therefore find us both at the traditional

protected workshops SAABU Østerlund in Nordborg, SAABU Natur in Sjellerup and SAABU

Møllestedgård in Sønderborg. And you will find us in BILKA, in Humlehøj Hall and at Kær

Vestermark, where we collaborate with Center for Verdensmål.

We also have citizens who work independently at several companies.

SAABU also establishes wage-subsidy jobs for early retirees (sheltered work) at companies

and institutions in Sønderborg Municipality.

SAABU has 36 employees and 153 places in total.

About the position

The position is 37 hours, but others can be agreed. Start date 1.1.2027, if possible preferably

earlier.

About SAABU Østerlund

SAABU Østerlund is located in Nordborg in an industrial area. We are 8 employees with different

professional backgrounds. We work closely internally on the site, but also across with the other

SAABU departments. We have a department manager fixed at the unit, so decisiveness is never

far away.

The vacant position is in our day-care group. Here we work to create developing and valuable activities as frameworks for personal growth, social life and quality of life. We use KRAP as a core method, and we work from Borgeren Ved Roret. The citizen group is quite broad, but common for all is an extensive need for support. This applies not least in relation to being able to express hopes, wishes and dreams for their existence.

SAABU Østerlund also has a creative group, where we make our own productions, which are sold from Our Store in Humlehøj Hall and on SAABU Natur, as well as at our spring market, at market days in Sønderborg and from the annual Christmas shop in Sønderborg center.

Everyone works together on daily operations and helps each other where there is a need. There are tasks around personal and practical help and care for the citizens who need it, and you will join our shifts regarding citizen transport to and from the location. Therefore it is necessary that you have a normal driver’s license.

Competence – who are we seeking?

You are educated in social- or health-related fields.

You can have lots of experience or be completely new to the field. The most important thing is that you have something professional and personally to offer, and that you want to contribute with all you contain.
