About the job

Sabro day care is seeking 2 pedagogical assistants as soon as possible or by 1 January 2027. We are seeking both permanent and project-specific positions.

For our Daycare in Sabro – rural, close to nature, but within a short bus ride to the city – we are looking for engaged and quality-minded pedagogical assistants with experience with children aged 0 – 6 years.

About us

We are a relatively small day care with 5 institutions – Galaksen, Tryllefløjten, Humlebien, Sommerfuglen and Evigglad. Therefore you will also experience a daycare that works closely together with the other institutions. There is also good collaboration with Sabrokorsvej School. We have wonderful children with supportive and energetic parents – a parent collaboration that we value highly.

In the backyard we have a good and safe path system, and woods and nature lie in natural continuation of the institutions. And if you would like to take the children on a longer trip, Sabro Daycare has two buses at its disposal and at least two electric cargo bikes.

We meet each child where they are and we go to great lengths to adapt to each child's needs. With us, every child is unique with their own personality and integrity. Each child should therefore be met with respect and an approach that is tailored to the individual child and developmental stage. We place a high value on the good work in the classrooms and the sense of community in the house. There is an expectation that you will get to know all the children.

Play plays a major role in our daily life, where we join the children's play based on Tea Thyrre Sørensen's ideas about Neuropsychological developmental psychology. Therefore we are also a daycare where there are trained play captains in all institutions.

We are seeking a stable employee who is welcome to bring new inputs and ideas - you may wonder about our practices, we want to be interrupted and thus develop professionally. And we ensure that you also have good opportunities to develop. We see ourselves as very well-functioning – but we are also aware that you may spot areas where we could benefit from development. We expect that you are willing to take part in that development as well.

We also welcome an application from you who are considering a career change.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • can see themselves in a small institution
  • are good at collaborating but can also work independently
  • Trives in being playful with the children
  • are imaginative, creative and have a good sense of humor
  • are good at creating frameworks for children in different age groups
  • can work in a structured way – but at the same time be able to navigate a day that may deviate from the plan
  • Can take independent responsibility
  • are fond of movement, play and outdoor life
  • … and if you bring other things that we can use but haven’t thought of, we will be positively surprised

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination takes place after negotiations with the bargaining-represented trade union based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-agreement that can form the basis for salary determination

There will be obtained child and criminal records checks as well as references before employment. You can read more here about how we process your personal data here .

Apply as soon as possible and no later than 15 November 2026. We are especially curious about your qualifications, relational competencies, professional experiences and personal traits. Interviews will be held ongoing.
