Caseworker for emergency planning and crisis management at the Defence Material and Procurement Agency

When the security situation changes from one day to the next, the Defence must be able to rely on materiel and IT functioning, also in crisis and war. You plan the preparedness, train the organization to handle crises, and maintain an overview when the pace is highest. If you are good at creating an overview and solving tasks across a large organization, this is a job for you.

ABOUT US The Operations Department at the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation is the link that translates strategy into action and keeps leadership informed about the operational reality, so decisions can be made on an up-to-date basis. As a cross-cutting staff function, we support both the daily planning and the conduct of the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation.

Our work spans from intelligence and operations planning to training and operations support, which gives the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation a permanent operational ability to handle crises when they arise. We are a team with both military and civilian backgrounds, experience levels, and competencies, and we maintain an informal tone in daily life combined with a high professional ambition.

ABOUT THE POSITION You are part of ensuring that the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation is ready to support the Defence – also when crises and extraordinary events occur.

Your task is to strengthen the agency's preparedness and ensure that the relevant parts of the organization are involved when the situation requires it.

Your tasks include, among others

• Preparedness planning across the agency, where you lead projects and coordinate tasks.
• Threat and vulnerability assessments that support the agency's preparedness.
• Support for preparedness exercises and collection of experiences that can strengthen preparedness.
• Crisis management, where you contribute to creating an overview and ensuring coordination in pressured situations.
• Collaboration with the Defence and international partners.

ABOUT YOU You most likely have an academic education, but we are also open to other educational backgrounds. The most important thing is that you have an interest in preparedness development and operations. If you also have knowledge of the Defence or experience with operational or preparedness planning, it is an advantage but not a requirement.

You work independently and take responsibility for carrying your tasks from start to finish. You keep an overview, even when tempo increases, and you easily establish good relations across disciplines. In addition you communicate clearly and precisely in both Danish and English – verbally and in writing.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS You are employed in accordance with the current collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is an opportunity to negotiate allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme linked to the position.

The workplace is in Ballerup.

As an employee within the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain security clearance and maintain the clearance during the entire employment.

You have as an employee a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
