About the job

A day-to-day role where you're needed

When a customer suffers a water, fire or mold damage, a quick and professional response is important. At Ocab we respond, limit the damage and help the customer forward – and as a sanitation technician, you will be an important part of that effort.

For our department in Holbæk we are now seeking a sanitation technician who thrives with an active and varied workday, takes responsibility and wants to become part of a team with skilled colleagues.

Some days go as planned. Other days they don’t. That is part of the job – and therefore you must be able to keep your overview and be ready to step in when you are needed.

About the job

As a sanitation technician at Ocab you work with many different types of damage restoration tasks for private individuals, companies and professional customers.

It is a practical and physical job. You may, among other things, have to move and handle the customers' belongings and personal effects, work with demolition and remediation, as well as carry out industrial tasks and tasks at height.

You work both independently and with colleagues and project managers. Regardless of the task, the goal is the same: to deliver professional work and meet the customer properly in a situation that is often unexpected and challenging.

Your tasks may include

  • Exposure and demolition in connection with water damage
  • Mold remediation
  • Cleaning and remediation after fire damage
  • Setup and supervision of dehumidification equipment
  • Handling and moving of contents and personal effects
  • Asbestos remediation
  • Remediation after pests
  • Clearing up and cleaning in connection with social cases
  • Industrial tasks
  • Documentation of tasks from start to finish
  • Close collaboration with colleagues and project managers
  • Participation in on-call duty

We imagine that you

You do not need to come with exactly the same background as your future colleagues. Experience matters, but we also place great emphasis on your attitude, responsibility and how you collaborate with others.

We would like you to

  • Have experience from damage restoration or a similar industry – experience in damage restoration is a clear advantage
  • Have asbestos certificate or experience with asbestos remediation – an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Be in good physical shape and thrive with an active job where lifting and moving can be part of the workday
  • Be comfortable working at heights, as some tasks may take place on ladders, lifts or work platforms
  • Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Be thorough and quality-conscious
  • Thrive in collaboration and contribute positively to the team
  • Be flexible and able to keep an overview when the day’s plans change
  • Live within a reasonable distance of our Holbæk department
  • Speak and understand Danish
  • Have a driving licence (category B)
