About the job

Do you want to help set the direction for railway safety on one of the Nordics' most complex infrastructures? Are you motivated by working with safety, technology and complex challenges?

On behalf of Øresundsbron we are seeking a safety leader who will play a central role in railway safety and safety management on the Øresund Connection.

You will become a central professional sparring partner in the organization with close collaboration with management, specialists, suppliers and relevant authorities in both Denmark and Sweden.

A role with development and responsibility

As safety leader you will have professional responsibility for railway safety on Øresundsbron and a central role in ensuring that the safety management system operates, develops and complies with applicable requirements.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Ensure operation, follow-up and ongoing improvement of the safety management system.
  • Identify, assess and manage safety risks and ensure systematic follow-up.
  • Follow developments in legislation, technical norms and authority requirements in the railway safety domain.
  • Coordinate incident reporting, accident handling and emergency response on the railway.
  • Follow up on safety targets, indicators, action plans and management reporting.
  • Contribute to audits and management evaluations of the safety management system.

Øresundsbron is also in the process of developing and digitalizing the work with railway safety, and you will therefore have an important role in the further development. You will have the opportunity to help shape both systems, processes and the overall safety culture in an organization where safety is absolutely essential.

What we are looking for

We envision that you have

  • A relevant short, intermediate or higher education, for example within engineering, railway or safety.
  • Experience with railway safety, safety management, risk management or from another safety-critical organization.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements, safety processes and risk assessment.
  • A structured and analytical approach and the ability to create an overview in complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will have a broad contact surface across the organization and with external partners.
  • A change-ready and responsible approach and thrive navigating a daily life with high demands and many stakeholders.

Make your mark on safety

As safety leader you will have the opportunity to work with something that has real impact. You will become part of an organization where safety, operations and development must go hand in hand – and where your decisions help ensure that the connection between Denmark and Sweden functions safely every single day.

Your base will be at Øresundsbron's Swedish head office in Lernarcken, and start is expected around December 1st or earlier.

Are you curious about the role and have experience from a safety-critical area? Then send your application today.

We process applications on an ongoing basis and will stop the recruitment process when the right candidate is found. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the recruitment lead Emma Jepsen ([email protected]).
