About the job
Do you want to help set the direction? Do you want leadership – and to lead a team of professionals who know their craft and are passionate about it? We are seeking a senior bioanalyst to Multi 4 in Blood Tests and Biochemistry at Aarhus University Hospital with commencement on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
Here you get a leadership position close to both staff, operations and professional development. You will become the leader of a highly specialized section where strong professionalism, research and development are part of everyday life – and where your task is to create the framework for people and professionalism to succeed together.
As a senior bioanalyst in Multi 4 you will also be part of the management in a large laboratory department. Here we expect our leaders to take responsibility for their own area and contribute to the whole – also when solutions must be found across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
We are therefore looking for you who both desire close management and to actively contribute to the development of our tasks, collaboration and organization.
About Multi 4
Multi 4 is a highly specialized section with about 15 bioanalysts. The section handles a number of highly specialized analyses, including immunochemical methods and specialized analyses in areas such as neurology, autoimmunity and vitamin B12. In addition, the section handles pre-analytical functions and participates in a 24/7 on-call community with other sections.
The section actively contributes to research and development and conducts analyses in connection with research projects both internally and externally.
Multi 4 is characterized by high professionalism, engagement and close cooperation between employees with different competencies and functions. We place emphasis on a culture marked by trust, respect and a shared responsibility for quality, operations and collaboration.
A broad leadership role
As a senior bioanalyst you have a particular responsibility for staff, operations, resources and the working environment and contribute together with the rest of the section management to the professional development and quality in the area.
You must be close to the daily task solving and at the same time be able to look ahead and set the direction for the area's development. You will play a central role in creating the framework where high professional quality, safe operations, development and a good working environment go hand in hand.
Your tasks include, among others
- staff management, employee development and well-being
- recruitment and retention
- planning and prioritizing resources and competencies
- responsibility for safe and stable operations
- working environment and development of a strong work community
- quality, professional development and continuous improvements
- implementation and anchoring of new solutions and workflows
- support of the section's research and development activities
- collaboration across sections, disciplines and organizational boundaries
- contribution to the department's overall development and task resolution.
You will join the section management together with the chief physician and the biochemist. You bring different professional perspectives into the leadership and share responsibility for the section's overall development, while as a senior bioanalyst you have the staff management of the bioanalyst group.
Leadership with us
We emphasize present and clear leadership and that our leaders create direction, involve and take responsibility.
As a senior bioanalyst you must be able to stand behind decisions and at the same time be curious about the employees' professionalities and perspectives. You must be able to build good relationships and have an eye for, that solutions are often found in collaboration between people and across disciplines and organizational areas.
You will become part of the department's group of senior bioanalysts and will have close collaboration with the department's other leaders. We view leadership as a joint task and expect our leaders to both take responsibility for their own area and actively contribute to the whole.
Blood Tests and Biochemistry is a large department in ongoing development. New technologies, changed tasks and new ways of collaborating mean that our organization is also evolving. As a leader with us you must therefore thrive on development and be willing to help find good solutions – also across the organizational boundaries we know today.
This also means that tasks and areas of responsibility may evolve over time in line with the department's needs and organization.
Who are you?
You are a trained bioanalyst and have an interest in leadership. You have leadership experience or have shown clear leadership potential in other roles and are now ready to take the next step.
We emphasize that you
- are clear, approachable and trust-building
- can set direction while allowing room for the employees' professionalism
- have an eye for both people, operations, quality and development
- can prioritize and make decisions in a complex daily life
- work relationally and contribute to good collaborations
- are curious about other disciplines and perspectives
- can look beyond your own area and contribute to the overall department
- can maintain an overview, even when there are many considerations and interests at stake
- are eager for development and can help translate new possibilities into practical solutions.
It is not essential that you already know all functions and analyses in Multi 4. The most important is that you are curious, take responsibility and can bring the professionalism of employees and partners into play.
We offer
You get an independent and versatile leadership position in a large and highly specialized department with engaged and professionally strong employees. You will also become part of a leadership community where we collaborate across, consult with each other and share a common ambition to create good solutions for patients, employees and collaborators. You will have the opportunity to both influence Multi 4 and contribute to the continued development of Blood Tests and Biochemistry.
