Senior Business Controller – enable decision-making through financial insights

Contribute to a more solid decision basis in a digital business area

SysTech is a cross-organizational product organization that develops, operates and manages digital products and solutions that support Energinet's business. As the Senior Business Controller for the area, you will become a central sparring partner for the VP and the management team and ensure that financial implications, investments, priorities and risks are an integral part of the decision basis.

You create coherence between strategy, activities, finance and expected business value. At the same time, you help the management navigate complex decisions by translating data and analyses into concrete recommendations and actions.

Come inside the finance partner departments

From the office in Fredericia you will be part of a dedicated environment where we work closely across disciplines to create the greatest possible value for the business. In the three finance partner departments we are 27 dedicated colleagues distributed across offices in Ballerup, Stenlille and Fredericia, where the majority sit in Fredericia. With a very good esprit de corps across locations, we act as financial sparring partners for the management in Energinet's various subsidiaries and support them with financial management.

You will become part of a team with Financial Business Partners and Business Controllers, where you jointly cover the area within electricity costs, gas energy costs and the subsidiary System Responsibility.

Create overview and direction across finance, technology and business

As a Senior Business Controller you will have a broad role with great influence on financial governance and the development of SysTech's decision basis. You will, among other things, be responsible for:

• serving as a strategic financial sparring partner for the VP and the management team
• preparing and further developing budgets, forecasts and financial analyses
• creating the decision basis for investments, priorities and development initiatives
• working with business cases, realization of gains, value creation as well as opex- and capex-management
• improving governance, processes and data foundation so that decisions are made on a fact-based basis

You collaborate closely with leaders and key stakeholders across the organization - here your ability to create shared understanding and bridge financial and business perspectives will be crucial.

You combine financial heft with solid business understanding

You have solid relevant experience with business controlling, finance business partnering or financial management in a large and complex organization. In addition, we imagine that you:

• have a relevant advanced degree in economics, finance or similar - e.g., cand.merc., cand.oecon., HD or equivalent
• work confidently in Excel and have experience with ERP systems - we use SAP and SAC
• are a skilled analyst who translates complex data sets into clear recommendations
• understand the link between strategy, finance, system development and business value
• have experience with budgets, forecasts, business cases, investments, opex and capex
• communicate clearly and create shared understanding across professional disciplines

As a person you are motivated by collaboration and by creating structure, transparency and coherence in complex contexts. You are curious about the business and seek out new knowledge to understand the needs and drivers behind the economy and development.

At the same time you challenge assumptions and priorities in a constructive way and do so with respect for relationships and with a focus on creating value for the whole. Finally, you have an interest in data, automation, AI and digital tools and see opportunities to use them to strengthen decision support.
