about the role

As a Senior Solution Engineer at Salling Group Tech you will be part of an experienced team responsible for financial solutions, transactions, processes and accounting reporting across Denmark, Poland and Germany.

You will function as the crucial link between the business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Business Application Specialists, Solution Architects, offshore developers and external partners. You work in a dynamic, agile/Scrum-based environment with 3-week sprints, where you have great freedom to clarify, design and deliver the solutions that create the most value.

In addition, your main responsibilities and tasks will be

• Liaison and stakeholder management: Act as the link between technical profiles and external suppliers to clarify requirements – for example in connection with new legislation or specific requirements across markets.
• Requirements specification and scoping: Define technical requirements, scope and deliverables to ensure a smooth handover to developers and to challenge requirements constructively to increase the quality and value of IT solutions.
• Project management and participation: Drive and contribute to all phases of small and medium IT projects in the team and in collaboration with other teams.
• Development of financial solutions: Optimize and further develop critical financial solutions that support accounting and reporting processes as well as compliance with applicable laws.
• SAP and data management: Work with and shape the development of the SAP landscape (S/4HANA) and handle large data volumes in a changing environment.
• Technological innovation: Contribute to identifying and implementing new technologies and methods such as AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), SAP Fiori and Signavio to optimize the finance area.

We imagine that you bring

• A relevant financial or tech professional background – practical and documented experience is weighted highest.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA) with understanding of transaction codes, setup and configuration.
• Experience with newer modules such as SAP Fiori and Signavio or participation in upgrade projects is a strong advantage.
• Strong financial and accounting understanding with good insight into financial processes, legislation and handling of complex accounting data.
• Knowledge of process optimization, automation (RPA/AI at user/understanding level) and improvement of usability.
• Familiarity with Scrum and agile working methods is an advantage.
• Fluent language skills in both Danish and English at business level.
