Architect with experience in commercial construction for STEENBERG's studio

At STEENBERG's studio on Bornholm we are seeking an experienced architect who will help strengthen our work with commercial construction and public building projects.

About the position

You will take a central role in the development and design of new buildings, alterations and extensions for businesses, municipalities, regions and state clients.

We work as a total consultant, and you will therefore have the opportunity to follow the projects through all phases. You should be able to translate the client's wishes and needs into well-thought-out architecture with a focus on function, constructibility and economy.

Your tasks will include

• Dialogue with clients and clarification of needs, possibilities and parameters.
• Idea development, sketching and preparation of the project proposal.
• Regulatory/permit projects and coordination of the subsequent design.
• Close collaboration with the studio's other disciplines.
• Maintaining the project's architectural and functional qualities throughout the process.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the studio's projects, clients and working methods through close collaboration with experienced colleagues. We emphasize sharing knowledge and discussing solutions, and you will have room to contribute with your own experiences and ideas. Your independent project tasks will be planned as you get to know the studio and the clients.

Who are you?

You are a trained architect and have experience with commercial construction. You have worked with both the early clarifications and the subsequent design development and are used to working with clients and technical consultants.

We especially emphasize that you

• Can show concrete examples of commercial construction or public building projects where you have played a significant role.
• Can understand the daily life of the client and users and reconcile architecture with practical and operational needs.
• Work independently and in a structured manner and follow through on your tasks.
• Listen, ask questions and communicate possibilities and solutions understandably – also to clients without experience with construction projects.
• Share your knowledge and be open to colleagues' perspectives.

A studio with short lines between disciplines

STEENBERG's studio has advised on construction on Bornholm since 1977. We are 15 colleagues who work closely across architecture, structures and installations with a focus on quality, functionality and solutions that can be realized.
