Do you want to help strengthen EWII's resilience and ensure that cross-cutting requirements are also translated into solutions that work in practice? You will play a central role in creating momentum, coherence and a shared direction in the group’s work with emergency preparedness, compliance and risk management.

About the job

As Senior Specialist for our Corporate Preparedness, you will be a central link between EWII's businesses, the central emergency preparedness forum, and relevant cross-functional functions that work with security, preparedness, risk, compliance and governance. You will both drive the implementation of regulatory requirements and support the long-term anchoring and development of the area.

The responsibility for security and preparedness work lies in the individual business areas. Your task is to create coherence, momentum and a solid common foundation across the group.

You will, among other things

  • Drive cross-cutting implementation activities and systematically follow up on decisions, risks and agreements.
  • Identify dependencies and common needs across business areas and contribute to the decision basis and priorities.
  • Support the implementation of requirements under the Act on Strengthened Preparedness, NIS2 and CER in collaboration with the responsible business areas.
  • Support EWII's Preparedness Forum and ensure a consistent basis for reporting, status and cross-cutting risk assessment.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of governance, compliance and risk management structures.
  • Create coherence between preparedness requirements, operations, finance, investments, IT, asset management and maintenance plans.

A cross-cutting role of great importance

Reporting to EWII's Director of Policy & Regulation, you will play a key role in an area of great importance for EWII's resilience, compliance and risk management. You will work broadly across the organization and have the opportunity to shape cross-functional collaborations, governance structures and management processes.

The role does not formally include managerial responsibilities, but significant professional credibility, organizational understanding and the ability to generate followership. You will have the freedom to bring your experience into play and become part of a professional environment where complex challenges are solved collectively.

Are you the profile we are seeking?

We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives at the intersection of development, operations, finance, regulation, risk management and management support. You work in a structured and persistent way and can translate complex requirements and considerations into concrete decisions and actions.

We value that you

  • either have experience with governance, compliance, risk management, preparedness or related areas.
  • have created common solutions across organizational and professional interests.
  • can drive progress and implementation without formal managerial responsibility.
  • can prepare clear decision bases and communicate complex issues simply.
  • are a strong facilitator and collaboration partner for both leaders, specialists and project managers.
  • have a relevant higher education degree or equivalent experience.

Experience from the utilities sector, infrastructure, a large company or a public staff- or development function is an advantage, but not a requirement. The crucial thing is that you can translate regulatory requirements, strategic decisions and organizational needs into solutions that can be prioritized, decided and implemented.
