What we do in the world's coolest recycling shop!

The core task at ARGO is to transform waste into resources. We work hard to ensure that more of the many tons of waste that are brought to our recycling sites are recycled. In this context ARGO's two resale shops, located in Køge and Roskilde, play an important role. Here we ensure that the best items get on the shelves so they can be recycled. We also collaborate with job centers and companies on repair and preparation - all to promote direct recycling.

At the same time, we have a strong focus on creating an inclusive workplace, where we, among other things, help people who are on the edge of the labor market closer to employment outside Gensalg.

You will be involved in a number of tasks related to increasing direct recycling at the counter.

In daily life, your tasks will consist of

• Sorting in the receiving area (outdoor work)
• Transporting items from the covered area to the shop or the free area.
• Assessing, pricing and preparing large quantities of goods for sale in the shop, as well as spotting recycling gold
• Keeping the shop presentable for customers, i.e. moving furniture and goods

cleaning tasks, light cleaning and keeping the shop organized.

• Helping customers with sorting so as much as possible can be recycled
• Providing world-class service and guidance to our many customers in the shop
• Giving input to the ongoing development and optimization of the shop
• Contributing to our free direct recycling areas being nice and presentable
• Contributing to our highly prioritized, positive and inclusive work environment
• Supporting our company interns to succeed, where focus on the individual needs and resources is central
• Developing an overview and planning so the shop is ready for opening Thursday to Sunday
• Prioritizing tasks and staying focused on the ball in organized chaos, e.g. in daily life helping with task prioritization and distribution.

Your profile

• You think recycling is one of the coolest things and see the potential for more items to be recycled either in the shop, the free area or with partner organisations.
• You can work practically, physically, efficiently and independently
• You can see yourself in ARGO's values
• You love outdoor work in all weather
• You understand the importance of Gensalg always being an exciting place for our customers, and you are happy to come with ideas and initiatives on how we can develop together
• You have a firm grasp of what makes Gensalg special – both via the right goods and the atmosphere among colleagues and customers
• It is essential that you enjoy integrating with people
• If you have a forklift certificate and a driving license, that would be an advantage
• You should contribute to a good working environment and see opportunities instead of limitations.
• You must be flexible and able to take shifts in both shops and in the goods receiving area.

Working hours and terms

The working hours are 35 - 37 hours per week in the period 8:00-16:00 on weekdays and during the shop's opening hours 8:45-17:15, weekend shifts every other weekend.

Salary: According to the current agreement between KL and 3F including the principles of New Pay. Base pay is placed at grade 21. You will be employed in ARGO Koncernservice A/S.

You will report to the Section Leader of Direct Recycling Ditte Titskov.

About Gensalg

Gensalg is part of the Genbrug team in ARGO and we are currently 32 employees in Gensalg. Gensalg works with a triple bottom line; environment - economy - social. Gensalg has existed for 7 years. Find us on Facebook, where you can get insight into how daily life and the tone are with us.

The aim is to increase direct recycling - in other words giving the effects that citizens would otherwise throw away as waste at the recycling site, a new life. Citizens have the opportunity to drop off the items in a recycling area on the site. Many of the items can be sold directly in the shop, others will be refurbished in collaboration with various projects in the municipality, after which they are sold from the shop, or given to humanitarian organizations or placed in direct free recycling.
