About the job

Security guard for ARoS - focusing on

Sicherheit, emergency preparedness and guest experiences

  • You will perform daily security and service tasks in the museum’s public areas and other relevant areas.
  • You are attentive to conditions that may affect security, emergency preparedness, order and accessibility, and follow applicable procedures.
  • You meet guests politely and professionally, help with questions and contribute to a good experience of the museum.
  • You respond appropriately to incidents and collaborate with relevant colleagues to prevent and handle situations.
  • You participate in fixed routines, observations and practical tasks that support smooth museum operations.
  • You share relevant information and help colleagues so that we together create coherence between service, security and guest experience.

Your profile

You enjoy concrete tasks and take responsibility that things are carried out properly to the end. You have an eye for detail without losing an overview, and you can stay calm when there are many people or when unexpected situations arise.

You meet others with respect and natural helpfulness. At the same time you are clear when necessary, and you contribute to a collaboration where tasks are discussed openly and everyone helps each other in daily work. You are motivated by making a real difference in a house where art, people and shared experiences are central.

Your qualifications

  • You have completed the basic security guard course - or have other relevant experience.
  • You have a relevant professional background or experience from a service, security or emergency preparedness function.
  • You are used to working in a structured way with fixed procedures and to being aware of your surroundings.
  • You understand how good service and clear communication contribute to safety and good guest experiences.
  • You can collaborate constructively with different professional backgrounds and meet many types of people in an approachable way.
  • You work responsibly, are thorough in your observations and can act independently within the agreed frameworks.
  • You speak Danish and English - and preferably several languages.

We offer

  • A meaningful role where your efforts matter for both guests, colleagues and the museum's daily operations.
  • A daily life close to art, exhibitions and events in an international art museum in the middle of Aarhus.
  • A professional community where collaboration, high quality and good experiences for guests are a shared task.
  • Opportunity to develop your understanding of security, emergency preparedness and service in a cultural organization with many different activities.

In the Security and Service Department we are divided into 3 teams, with a total of about 40 employees, consisting of both permanent staff and temp workers.

The position is 37 hours per week with paid lunch break.

We offer an attractive salary and staff benefits package. Salary and pension total about 33,500 DKK/month.

Process

We invite to interviews on an ongoing basis and close recruitment when the right candidate is found.

We wish to fill the position by January 1, 2027.

We look forward to hearing from you - and we very much look forward to reading your application and CV.
