About the job

Special School Lolland – Maribo and Nakskov

Do you want to help create safe and developing surroundings for children at Special School Lolland's SFO, and do you thrive in a job where you combine leadership with pedagogical practice? Then you may be the person we are looking for as the SFO leader at Special School Lolland.

We are looking for an engaged and clear SFO leader for a ½ leadership position with responsibility for the SFO departments in Maribo and Nakskov.

About the position

The position is arranged as a combined role, where leadership tasks and participation in the pedagogical practice are weighed roughly equally.

As the SFO leader, you are part of the school's overall leadership team and have responsibility for the daily pedagogical leadership and operation of the SFO at both sites. You work with coordination, structure and professional development – and you are also an active part of the everyday life with the children.

The position entails presence at both the Maribo and Nakskov campuses. You report to the school principal.

Your leadership tasks

As the SFO leader you have responsibility to

  • Lead and develop the pedagogical practice in the SFO
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, including planning and prioritizing tasks
  • Manage staff within agreed frameworks, including professional sparring, follow-up and well-being
  • Support the coherence between school and SFO in close collaboration with the school leadership
  • Contribute to the implementation of shared strategies, decisions and initiatives

Decisions regarding finance, overall organization and personnel matters are made in consultation with the school leadership.

Participation in the pedagogical practice

When you are not performing leadership tasks, you will participate in the pedagogical practice in the SFO. Here it is expected that you:

  • Actively participate in the daily life with the children
  • Contribute to planning and implementation of pedagogical activities
  • Be a visible and present adult in the children's everyday life
  • Support and qualify the staff's practice through participation and dialogue

This part of the position is essential to create coherence between leadership and practice.

We expect that you

  • Have a relevant pedagogical education
  • Have interest in – and preferably experience with – leadership
  • Can switch confidently between leadership role and pedagogical practice
  • Work in a structured manner and have an overview in a complex everyday life
  • Are clear, relational and appreciative in your approach
  • Thrive working across two geographically separated departments

We offer

  • An exciting and varied position with opportunities for both leadership and pedagogical work
  • A close and trusting collaboration in Special School Lolland's leadership team
  • Engaged and professionally competent staff
  • Opportunity to commence or complete a Diploma in Leadership as part of the employment

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The position is expected to be placed at base salary grade 46, plus a position allowance of DKK 3,200.00.

In addition, there will be a possibility for negotiating individual allowances based on relevant competencies.

The position is available from 1 January 2027.

Please note that a child and criminal record check will be performed for the person offered the position.

Application process

The application deadline is 10 November 10.11.2026.

The first interview will be held on 18 November and the second interview on 25 November. There will be a personality profile analysis between the interviews.
