Small cozy nursery seeks educator

Present and academically well-founded educator with a big heart for play is sought for Børnehuset Søndervang from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Børnehuset Søndervang is a small, nice institution with a staffing level of 36 kindergarten children and 12-14 preschoolers. Currently we have 14 children enrolled in the preschool. We are located centrally in Hammel with plenty of good opportunities in the local area, which we are happy to make use of in our daily life with the children. We have a close collaboration between kindergarten and preschool, and we consider ourselves one house.

In daily life we emphasize the good early childhood experience and that the children are met within their zone of proximal development. Pedagogically we base ourselves on our view of children: Children do well when they can.

That means, among other things, that we focus on creating good frameworks for play and learning, so that the children can develop into robust children who can, will, and dare. We have a resource-oriented approach, and we highlight what works.

We work purposefully with good learning environments as support for our pedagogical work. We place great importance on creating the best conditions for deep engagement and undisturbed time with the children, where the adults are actively involved and play a decisive role in creating the framework in which each child experiences success. We do this, among other things, through small groups where it is possible to be present, work purposefully, and supportively in play.

We highly value play and continually strive to become even better at playing. We have a weekly outdoor day in the house, where we strive to be outside all day to the extent that it makes pedagogical sense for the preschool children. We focus on nature, outdoor life, risky play, and gross motor exploration.

Our work with the children is also tied to a healthy and good collaboration with parents, as we experience that we create the best conditions for the children's healthy and natural development when we work closely with the parents.

We are looking for a colleague who

• is a trained educator
• is professionally skilled, reflective, engaged, and with interest within the target group
• is aware of supporting and following the children's initiatives, and who in pedagogical practice takes the child’s perspective as a starting point
• loves to play and immerse themselves with the children, and at the same time has the big overview
• is clear in organizing practice so that we can continue to create the best framework for the children's well-being, learning, and development
• is appreciative and inclusive in the approach to children, parents, and colleagues
• dares to put their own practice at stake, and can reflect on their own and colleagues' pedagogical practice
• can work independently in small groups, and at the same time collaborates well with colleagues
• can plan and carry out activities targeted at our children's groups and subsequently evaluate the pedagogical process
• is positive by nature and has a good mood
• will support and help develop our pedagogical learning environments

Børnehuset Søndervang is part of the Hammel area, which consists of 7 other institutions. We have a good collaboration in our area, and we hold, among other things, joint presentations, joint P-readiness meetings, and joint care on holidays.
