About the job

Our colleague is going on maternity leave. Therefore we are seeking a maternity substitute in a permanent evening shift in the period 1 February 2027 and one year forward.

The position is in a 2-3-2 arrangement, where you alternately work

  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in odd weeks
  • Wednesday and Thursday in even weeks

You will become part of Temporary Night Placements at Køge Municipality's Health Center. We live a few minutes' walk from Køge Station.

We offer you

  • a professionally challenging environment, where you can develop your competencies in dementia and rehabilitation
  • a strong interdisciplinary team that works closely on citizens' care pathways and among other things holds regular citizen conferences with dietitians, specialists and therapists.
  • a planned introductory program and a visible leader who prioritizes professional development and influence in daily life.

Your tasks

  • Perform holistic care with a focus on prevention and rehabilitation.
  • Follow up on nursing professional assessment after discharge.
  • Follow up on SUL initiatives.
  • Keep yourself updated on new instructions and guidelines.

About Temporary Night Placements Temporary Night Placements is the special space between hospital and home care. We work with citizens who often have complex issues and where there is a need for both nursing assessments, rehabilitation, palliative care and interdisciplinary coordination after illness or hospitalization.

We are 41 employees distributed among nurses and social- and health care assistants. We also have our own fixed relief corps.

We have close cooperation with a range of specialists including wound care and incontinence. And we have a geriatric physician who does ward rounds once a week.

Our working environment is good and we are a collegial group with a high spirit and great care for each other. In the Health Center we also have a large interdisciplinary network, and there is the possibility to participate in social events both in-house and in your own department.

Green and Blue Department

We have two departments: Green and Blue. You will primarily be in Blue, but must be able to cover Green during holidays and illness.

  • Green Department houses citizens after hospital admission, where there is a need for clarification or relief. We have 15 places in Green.

As part of the Health Reform, from 1/1-27 we will manage the health and care placements for the Region (but with the same citizen category).

  • Blue Department houses cognitively challenged citizens – including dementia. There are a total of eight places – five relief places and three rolling beds.

Who are we looking for? It is a requirement that you are trained as a social- and health care assistant with Danish authorization.

We expect that you have experience working with dementia and also preferably experience from hospital.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Has strong professional expertise and will perform holistic care with a rehabilitative approach.
  • Communicates in an appreciative and caring manner with citizens, relatives and colleagues.
  • Has a good understanding of documentation and can argue professionally (we use Nexus).

Employment terms and contact The position is 28 hours in fixed evening shift, but we can offer up to full-time in other shift rosters if you wish (not a requirement).

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and after negotiation with the negotiating representative organisation.

You will have your workplace at Køge Health Center, Rådhusstræde 10C, 4600 Køge.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact team leader Maria Marding Pedersen at email [email protected] or telephone 24 67 33 51.
