About the job

Are you curious about the neuro-rehabilitative specialty and would you like to help make a difference for patients whose lives have been changed in a short time? So read on here:

We have two vacancies in Ward S10. One is a permanent position with employment starting 01-01-27, the other a temporary position from 01-01-27 to 30-09-27. Both positions are full-time and on mixed shifts, with great influence on your own work schedule. If you prefer an hourly-wage employment with us, where you can be called in when we have illness, we would also like to hear from you.

Who are we

S10 is a ward with space for 13 adult patients with acquired brain injury. Common consequences after stroke are fatigue, paralysis, speech and vision disorders, problems with memory and overview, and emotional effects, which is why an intensive rehabilitation program is essential to regain the best possible functional ability. Patients are admitted on average about 30 days with us and we are passionate about creating good patient pathways with the patient and relatives as the most important partners in the collaboration.

As a social and health care assistant, you will be part of the nursing and a strong multidisciplinary team, which together plans relevant rehabilitation for the individual patient. In nursing, we base ourselves on Fundamentals of Care and the tasks range from basic nursing to specialized neurorehabilitation, where training and neuro-pedagogical strategies are naturally integrated. Training largely takes place as everyday rehabilitation – both individually and in groups – and aims for patients to regain as much function and independence as possible.

Nursing plays a central role in close collaboration with relatives, who are also in a challenging life situation. Furthermore, nursing is an important actor in the discharge process, so the transition to the primary sector is as safe and well-organized as possible.

The staff at S10 consists of both recently educated and highly experienced colleagues – nurses, SSA (social and health care assistants), occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors, neuropsychologist, speech therapist, social worker etc. The days are never the same; we base ourselves on the individual patient's needs and, with professionalism, mutual help and creativity, aim to give the patient the best conditions to achieve an active and meaningful life after admission.

S10 is a unit with high professionalism, great helpfulness and good humor. We help each other as much as we can and protect our shared good working environment.

We are looking for you who

  • Are experienced – or want to gain experience – in neurology and neurorehabilitation
  • Work holistically with the patient’s needs and wishes as the starting point
  • Have good collaboration skills and a passion for interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Are precise in documentation and see the importance of this
  • Are responsible and proactive
  • Contribute to the good work environment
  • Thrive in a workplace where ongoing development occurs

We offer

  • Challenges and development aligned with your competencies
  • Introduction to the ward and the neurological specialty, including introductory days in our education department
  • A mentor in the first months
  • High professional standard in patient pathways
  • A healthy physical and mental working environment
  • Influence on your own work schedule.

If the above has sparked your interest, we look forward to receiving your application. You are also very welcome to call and hear more about the position.

Further information about the position can be obtained by contacting Chief Ward Nurse Mieke Stoumann Hoeks, tel. 61150285

We look forward to receiving your motivated application.

Your application containing authorization ID, information about education and previous experience must be received electronically no later than 22-11-26

Employment interviews will be held on 25-11-26
