About the job

Attractive evening shift position as social- and health care assistant or social- and health care helper

Do you want to use your professional expertise in strong interdisciplinary citizen trajectories and at the same time help shape a new regional health offering, then you now have the opportunity to become our new colleague, as we offer a permanent position as social- and health care assistant or helper for 24-28 hours in a fixed evening shift pattern with every 2nd weekend. There is also an option for another employment fraction up to 37 hours, where the remaining hours would be in day shift.

As a social- and health care assistant or -helper with us, you will play an important role in citizens' trajectories. You meet people who for a period need health care treatment, care and rehabilitation – with the shared goal of creating secure and coherent pathways and supporting the citizen to return to their daily life.

At the same time you get the opportunity to put your mark on workflows, professionalism and collaboration, in a new regional offering.

You become part of something new

Borgernær Sundhed is a new department at Odense University Hospital, which aims to strengthen local health services and bring treatment, care and rehabilitation closer to citizens' daily lives.

From January 1, 2027, Borgernær Sundhed takes over responsibility for the regional health and care beds at Bakkegården in Espe. There are 26 beds.

The goal is to help the citizen as best as possible back to their own life through dignified, coherent and professionally strong pathways.

We are in the middle of an establishment phase where employees with different professional backgrounds will together develop common workflows and create a strong professional environment.

You are therefore not entering a finished setup, but will have the opportunity to actively bring your experience and professionalism into play from the start.

Your role

You will become part of an interdisciplinary working community with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and doctors.

As a social- and health care assistant or helper you will have a varied daily life with both independent responsibility and close professional sparring.

Your tasks

You will among other things

  • observe, assess and respond to changes in the citizen's health status
  • perform health care tasks related to care and treatment within your area of competence in close cooperation with a nurse.
  • medication management with systematic follow-up based on defined scope of competence
  • contribute to assessment, clarification and rehabilitation
  • create safety and continuity for the citizen and their relatives
  • document the citizen's course and the health professional interventions in EPJ-Syd. Training in this will take place, so prior knowledge is not a requirement
  • contribute to professional development, quality and patient safety

We emphasise that you

  • are professionally curious and want to develop yourself
  • have a strong professional expertise
  • work independently and at the same time thrive in a cross-disciplinary work community
  • meet citizens and relatives with respect, calm and presence
  • see rehabilitation as a natural part of care and treatment
  • contribute constructively to collaboration and the work community
  • thrive in an organization under development where not all workflows are predefined

Experience with complex citizen trajectories, rehabilitation, acute care areas, municipal or regional health care is an advantage but not a prerequisite.

With us you get

  • an opportunity to use and develop your professional competencies
  • influence on workflows and professionalism from the start
  • a daily focus on quality, development and patient safety
  • an individually tailored onboarding program
  • a workplace where we help each other and actively use each other's different professional skills
