About the education

The education lasts up to 14 months and alternates between classroom instruction and on-the-job training.

The school periods take place at ZBC in Holbæk. The training periods take place in home care and on nursing homes in Odsherred Municipality.

Here you get the opportunity to translate your knowledge into practice and develop your competences in collaboration with citizens, colleagues and supervisors.

When you have completed the education, you can work as a social and health care assistant within the care and welfare sector. You can also choose to further qualify as a social and health care assistant.

Admission requirements for the main program

To begin the main program you must have passed Grundforløb 2 aimed at the SOSU educations.

When you apply for the trainee position, you must attach

• Your Grundforløbs certificate if you have completed Grundforløb 2
• Documentation that you are in progress with Grundforløb 2 if you have not yet completed the course

If you have already completed Grundforløb 2, you only need to apply for the trainee position at Odsherred Municipality.

Do you want to be employed from Grundforløb 2?

To begin Grundforløb 2 you must as a rule have passed Danish and mathematics at G level, corresponding to the 9th grade.

If you apply for employment from Grundforløb 2, you must apply to two places

• You must apply for admission to the education via www.optagelse.dk .
• You must apply for the trainee position at Odsherred Municipality.

You must have applied for admission to the school before the employment interview.

Practical information

You must be able to present a private criminal record certificate in connection with any possible employment.
