Social Educator for the Hovedgaden Residential Community

Houses on Langeland are looking for a social educator (socialpædagog) for 37 hours per week at the Group Home Hovedgaden in Humble.

The position is intended to be filled on 1 February 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Group Home Hovedgaden in Humble is a residential facility for adults with permanent reduced physical and mental functions, and there is space for 6 residents in total, who have their own apartment. Residents choose themselves whether they want to be part of the social community in the house, which takes place in the kitchen-living room.

The staff composition consists of, pedagogues, social- and health care assistants as well as care helpers. Collaboration across professional groups is based on the residents’ individual action plans and care for the individual.

We place great emphasis on cooperation and collegial sparring, where the focus is on possibilities rather than limitations. The management focus is that everyone is competent to make decisions in daily life based on common sense and the shared view of the residents and the values.

We are seeking an employee who

• Is educated as a pedagogue
• Is professionally grounded and can translate professionalism into practice, preferably with experience in working rehabilitatively
• Would be advantageous to have experience from the area and the target group
• Would be advantageous to have experience with neuropedagogy
• Is a stable and robust colleague
• Is humorous, energetic and adaptable
• Can plan and prioritize daily work independently
• Has good written communication skills and experience with IT at user level – experience with KMD Nexus is preferred
• Is security-providing, acknowledging, credible and open to new thinking
• Is caring with an eye for the individual resident’s needs
• Has a driving license

Salary and employment

You will be employed by Bostederne in Langeland Municipality, with primary attachment to Group Home Hovedgaden.

The position is a permanent contract for 37 hours per week.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local salary formation.

Salary is set after individual negotiation based on Union Agreement for social educators and pedagogical staff at 24/7 institutions etc.

Starting salary for this position is expected to lie between DKK 33,700-38,300 per month (excluding pension), depending on experience/length of service.

In addition, there will be opportunities for negotiation of individual allowances based on relevant competencies.
