About Valmuehaven

Botilbuddet Valmuehaven is a residential facility with 12 apartments for adults with significant physical and mental disabilities, including citizens with dementia. We work every day to create an everyday life where citizens experience: self-determination, quality of life, well-being, safety and meaningful communities. We believe that high professionalism, curiosity and strong collaboration are the path to the best solutions and that humor is an important part of everyday life.

Your role

At Valmuehaven we work in teams, where closeness, professionalism and responsibility go hand in hand. You will become part of a fixed team of about five staff around four citizens. The team has a particular responsibility to create the best conditions for the citizens' well-being, development and quality of life through a targeted and individually tailored intervention.

At the same time you are part of the overall community at Valmuehaven, where we help each other across and together create a safe and meaningful offering for all 12 citizens. We expect you to take co-responsibility, contribute with your professional knowledge and be curious about developing both practice and collaboration.

We are looking for you,

• You are a qualified pedagogue
• Can work independently while also collaborating closely with colleagues
• Have an eye for the citizen's resources, possibilities and wishes
• Can work professionally reflective and structured
• Would like to contribute to a good working environment and a strong professional community

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have experience from the disability sector, dementia or psychiatry as well as personal care and support.

Practical information

• Permanent position of 37 hours per week
• Day and evening shifts - possibility of night shifts if needed.
• Work every 2nd weekend, fixed Christmas/New Year rotation, working hours are; 7/8-15, 15-21/22.
• Commencement by January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
• Application deadline is November 20, 2026.
• Interviews are expected to be held on November 24, 2026

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the representative negotiating organization.

Before final employment, a criminal record check must be provided and references collected.
