About the job

Are you passionate about the social/specialist area, then this is the right job. We are looking for a new colleague for a 30-hour social-educational staff position, this is a maternity leave replacement of at least 1/2 year.

In Landsbyen Sølund we have one purpose; To create good and meaningful lives for the village residents. Home - Landsbyen Sølund

Sølund Activity Center & STU form the framework for the daily life of 75 citizens with developmental disabilities and approximately 60 staff; distributed across 4 groups. The position is with the activity group, Guldhornet.

At Sølund and thus also in Guldhornet, we work purposefully. The residents’ good and meaningful life is our top priority and our professional practice and interdisciplinary collaboration reflect this.

Value-wise, we work based on the appreciative Gentle Teaching approach, as it is completely central to us that the residents feel safe, secure, valued and included in communities.

Our professional foundation is built on the IRIS model, which frames the whole person. We therefore work closely with housing units, relatives, health professionals and our Learning and Knowledge Center.

At AC and in Guldhornet, we work from a structured daily routine, where citizens have individual activity plans and where documentation and other written work is an important part of the pedagogical effort. We document in Cura.

Guldhornet

AC Sølunds tilbud ”Guldhornet” is housed in Landsbyen Sølunds former Snoezelhouse.

The group consists of 24 citizens and 12 staff.

Guldhornet’s citizens are from 20 to 60 years old. The majority of the citizens have multiple disabilities, primarily wheelchair users. The general cognitive development age is approx. 1-3 years.

The primary professional task is to create an active and content-rich day for the citizens with a focus on what each individual needs and what the individual likes/thrives with. The majority of “Guldhornet’s” citizens need help and support for almost everything.

We offer citizens different forms of sensory activities, where the primary focal point is music, movement, communication and the community around this.

Citizens are also offered many other forms of sensory activities, such as massage/touch, riding, swimming, outdoor life, wellness and much more.

The citizens have personal weekly schedules and individual action plans.

We are looking for a colleague with the following qualifications

  • A colleague who preferably has experience with the target group and who can participate in structured professional work
  • A colleague who wants to continue to create, develop and maintain safe and content-rich frameworks and activities in the users’ daily lives - and help ensure that our users receive and have a meaningful life.
  • A colleague who is professionally competent and who can connect theory to practice, be creative and able to act and work independently.

The work with our wonderful users requires you to have qualities such as being adaptable, broad-minded, patient and present.

The work with the users requires that you can adapt to each individual user’s special needs. You must be able to adjust and shift in a sometimes hectic daily life, where mood and atmosphere among the users can change quickly. It may therefore be necessary to make other decisions than those planned.

We can, among other things, offer

  • A wonderful user- and colleague group.
  • A meaningful job with an exciting target group.
  • A high degree of influence in daily work.
  • A high level of professionalism; we prioritize preparation, as it helps raise professional standards.
  • A well-functioning colleague group, with a sense of humor and openness.
  • An organization that continuously works for a good psychosocial and physical working environment.
  • Professional sparring and supervision.
  • Courses in power and Gentle Teaching are mandatory for new employees.
  • Skanderborg municipality health scheme

And at the same time you will be part of the fantastic Sølund, where inclusion and professional competence are highly valued.
