Sous-chef for Club N who is passionate about pedagogy and day-to-day operations

Do you have experience with pedagogical leadership, can you create systematic and structured everyday life, and are you eager to help develop an ambitious club and youth environment in Outer Nørrebro!

Klub N is a leisure club and a youth workshop for children and young people aged 10-18 in Outer Nørrebro. We are in the midst of a major development process and are working to create Nørrebro’s youth culture house—a lively house where children and young people feel they belong, express themselves, create something, and become part of strong communities.

We are looking for a deputy head who, together with the manager, can lead the next phase of Klub N’s development.

Your role

As deputy head you will be the manager’s closest sparring partner and play a central role in the daily leadership and coordination of the leisure club and youth workshop. You will have particular responsibility for the pedagogical leadership and organization, the staff, and pedagogical development. You must be a visible and approachable leader close to the employees and everyday life in the house.

Your tasks include

· Daily coordination

· Daily informal sparring with employees and lead and coordinate our four team coordinators

· Create systematics, structure, and cohesion across the house

· Follow up on decisions and ensure that ideas are translated into practice

· Maintain an overview of our pedagogical yearly cycle and ensure the execution of activities and events

· Follow up on focus areas and develop the shared pedagogical practice

· Welcoming new members and parents and introductory programs in connection with transitions

· Actively work with and in relation to our pedagogical supervision, leisure environment assessments, and Kids club

· Arrange employees’ fixed working hours

Pedagogical development will be an important task

We have many skilled and engaged staff, who are both trained pedagogues and tradespeople with good relationships with our children and young people. Now we want to develop our activities and strengthen our common professionality by becoming more systematic in the way we investigate and develop our practice.

You do not need to be an expert in specific methods, but you must be able to create structure around professional reflection, ask good questions, and engage the staff in development.

We expect that you

· have a pedagogical education

· have experience with pedagogical coordination or leadership

· have the desire for and preferably experience with personnel management

· are systematic, structured, action-oriented and good at following up

· are good at communicating, clear, present, and able to build following

· can maintain an overview when a lot is happening

· are interested in children, young people, pedagogical development, and strong communities

· are strong in pedagogical methods within e.g. Kids club, pedagogical analysis, reflection and practice stories

· can efficiently and simply plan employees’ working hours

Practical information: The club’s daily opening hours are from 13:00 to 20:00. You can expect some evening shifts from time to time in relation to agreed support and observation for staff and outreach work, as well as events during the year.
