About the job

We are still in the process of expanding our team of teachers with special education knowledge and special education teachers.

Would you like to help create participation opportunities for everyone and at the same time contribute to strengthening the communities around children in need of support? Do you have special education experience and a desire to become an active part of a strong, engaged and development-oriented team? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

We are seeking special education teachers or teachers with special education experience, with a starting date of 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. You will contribute to strengthening the joint effort for our students. It will primarily be students who attend mainstream classes but need special educational support. We are looking for educators/teachers who have an eye for each individual student’s resources and needs and who can see opportunities in working inclusively and co-creating in the school’s learning communities.

About the positions

As a special education teacher/teacher you will be an important part of the school’s resource team, where you, in close collaboration with class teams, management, PPR and parents, help create safe, predictable and developmentally oriented learning environments for children who have difficulty thriving in large communities.

A substantial part of your task will be to work to support the students’ participation and development in the class community.

Your primary tasks will include

  • Collaborate with the teachers in planning and implementing inclusive teaching and shared learning activities.
  • Support and guidance for students with socio-emotional and/or special educational needs in and outside of teaching.
  • Participation in planning and development of differentiated learning pathways and communities that give all children the opportunity to participate.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration on well-being and development of learning environments that make room for everyone.
  • Ongoing dialogue and close cooperation with parents.
  • Actively contribute to the school’s general work with inclusion, well-being and participation opportunities for all children.

About you

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is educated as a special education teacher or teacher with solid special education experience.
  • Is passionate about working with children who find it difficult — and who sees possibilities rather than limitations.
  • Wants to engage in close collaboration with the teachers to create inclusive learning communities.
  • Is clear, appreciative and structured in their approach.
  • Has strong collaboration skills and a desire to be an active part of a committed and development-oriented team.
  • Has knowledge of autism education and/or other special education methods — or is curious to learn.

Why choose us

You will become part of a school with high professionalism, strong collegial solidarity and a workplace where we work purposefully to create participation opportunities for all children. We believe that children do the right thing if they can — and that safe relationships, a strong pedagogical collaboration and inclusive communities are prerequisites for learning and well-being.

Our school is characterized by

  • Good physical and visual frameworks.
  • A positive, open and helpful culture among colleagues.
  • Focus on development, visible learning and pedagogical reflection in community.
  • A good and engaged parent collaboration.
