General worker for road maintenance in Herlev Municipality

In Vejdrift we consider ourselves the municipality's janitors, and it is our task to contribute to a well-functioning municipality. We handle many different tasks, such as snow clearing and anti-slip measures in the winter period, sweeping, waste collection, tiling, patching potholes in asphalt and road marking, as well as assistance for example in connection with the Herlev Festive Week and similar events.

You will become part of Vejdrift with an operations manager who coordinates the work and who acts as your professional sparring partner.

Opgaver

Your tasks include

• participation in the winter clearance service
• cleaning
• road marking work
• grass mowing
• maintenance of city furniture and signs
• machine operation
• weed control
• building maintenance
• ad hoc/occasional work
• paving
• pothole repair (asphalt)

• have relevant experience from the public or the private sector.
• are responsible.
• can work both independently and in a group.
• are reliable and have a good sense of humor.
• are flexible and have a high degree of adaptability.
• are not afraid to get involved.
• are not afraid of dirty work.
• are not afraid of changes.
• are not afraid to work with IT, including tablets.

It is mandatory that you participate in the department's winter on-call duty and have a small number of Saturday shifts per year. We expect you to live at a reasonable distance from Herlev, as you will participate in the winter duty.

Løn- og ansættelsesvilkår

The position is normed to 37 hours per week and is to be filled by 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible. Salary and employment conditions according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of Ny Løn.

It is a condition that you have a valid B driver's license.

Herlev Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
