General worker / machine operator for Environmental Center in Kolding

Meldgaard has for many years sorted and handled waste, soil and recycling products. Today we have environmental centers/reception facilities in, among others, Kolding, Klintholm, Herning and bag sorting in Aalborg. The departments have undergone a strong development with lots of new activities in an exciting industry.

The main activities at the sites are handling of soil, garden/park waste, cardboard/paper and other waste fractions that come into the different sites.

We have an informal tone of voice with mutual respect for one another and, based from the office in Kolding, maintain close contact with all reception facilities as well as our head office in Aabenraa. We are a strong team with an ambition to have satisfied customers and deliver quality every time.

The Job

We are seeking a skilled worker to operate our brand new press at our environmental center in Kolding.

You will be involved in monitoring the press and operation of machines (rubber wheeled loader, material handling machine and forklift). Additionally you will handle sorting as well as operation and maintenance of the site, the press, machines and all ad hoc tasks. These tasks are carried out in cooperation with the operations manager and your upcoming colleagues.

The position is 37 hours, and the working hours will lie between 07:00 – 16:00.

You will become part of a small team where we are quick to make decisions and get the tasks done.

About you

You have an interest and good understanding of technology as well as machines and their function. Your hands are well on the job, and you have experience or interest in operating baling presses, earthmoving or agricultural machines. You love new challenges, are adaptable and want to learn something new. You take ownership of your job and are passionate about making a difference.

It is also important that you

• Are a machine operator
• Familiarity with waste sorting is an advantage
• Have a category B driving license
• Advantage if you have experience with baling presses
• Can work independently and at the same time be a good team player
• Have a good mood
• Have a forklift certificate
• Are flexible
