About the job

Are you our new specialist in moisture, mold and fungus… or would you like to become one?

Are you motivated by finding the cause of construction-related problems? And do you like to combine practical investigations with academic deepening, advising and reporting?

At DMR Mold you get the opportunity to (further) develop yourself into a specialist in moisture, mold and fungus in buildings. You don't need to know all the answers in advance. The most important is that you have a solid building-technical understanding, work analytically and are curious to learn new things

You will become part of a specialized professional environment with access to your own laboratories and colleagues who share their knowledge. At the same time you will have a varied workday where you both inspect buildings, identify causes of damage, assess the significance and help clients choose the right solutions.

We are seeking a new colleague for our office in Horsens or Silkeborg.

Become a “building detective” in an ambitious organization

As an advisor at DMR Mold, your work is about more than merely reporting damage. Your main task is to find the underlying cause and convey the result so the problem can be solved in the most appropriate way. Why does the moisture arise? Is it due to a thermal bridge, rising ground moisture, building usage, or something else altogether?

Your primary tasks will be

  • Building investigations: Identification of the cause, extent and significance of damage due to moisture, mold, fungus, insect attack and rot.
  • Technical advisory: Preparation of concrete remediation plans, decontamination guidelines and concluding quality assurance.
  • Reporting: Communicating complex findings in clear, precise and well-formulated language to, among others, insurance companies, housing associations, municipalities and private individuals.
  • Networking and customer relations: Maintaining and expanding your assignment portfolio through professional sparring and market-oriented advisory.

We imagine you are educated as a construction architect, structural engineer or have a similar building-technical background. If you also have a craft background, that's an advantage. You probably have 3-5 years of experience with inspecting the existing building stock, but we also value a broader profile.

We are seeking a colleague who

  • Has a natural curiosity and thrives on solving building-technical puzzles.
  • Is analytical by nature, reflective and takes ownership of your tasks.
  • Has strong written communication skills (in Danish), so you can explain technical problems in an understandable way, and you gain energy from working with wording and report structures in each individual case.
  • Has a valid driver's license (B) and a car. Travel is charged at government rates.

Why choose DMR?

With us you become part of a flat organization with an informal and direct tone, where professionalism is paramount. We distinguish ourselves by having our own laboratories , which gives you a unique opportunity for quick sparring and microbiological documentation.

You get a special opportunity to come very close to many different buildings and structures – from older properties to modern construction – and build a deep understanding of how buildings work and why damage occurs.

We offer

  • A thorough onboarding and close sparring with experienced colleagues, so you quickly and safely feel comfortable in the advisory role and in contact with our clients.
  • A varied day with a lot of freedom, influence and responsibility for your own tasks.
  • Tasks ranging from smaller private cases to large, complex projects.
  • Good opportunities for both professional and personal development.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work when tasks allow.
  • Salary and terms of employment that match your qualifications.
