Ulleruphus and Madsbyhus Nursing Homes – A home with well-being at the center

Ulleruphus is a self-governing institution, with priority for deaf residents. There are a total of 45 apartments spread over two floors.

Madsbyhus is a small nursing home with 14 apartments in total, and for residents with a dementia condition.

We work according to the strategy “Joy of good everyday life” and are in the process of implementing the Eden Alternative. Our goal is to create a meaningful life for residents by preventing loneliness, strengthening relationships and accommodating individual needs. We emphasize involving residents' own wishes and life histories as well as their families' perspectives. So everyday life can unfold both individually and in community.

The encounter with residents always takes place with respect, curiosity and human understanding. We see the family as an important resource and prioritize stable, equal collaboration. It is essential for us that residents feel safe and acknowledged in their home.

About the job

As a Sprout at our nursing home you will play an important role in contributing to residents’ well-being and daily life. Your tasks will include:

• Cozy with the nursing home residents – participate in conversations, games or small activities.
• Help with practical tasks such as preparing for meals and taking out the trash.
• Be a positive and friendly face that creates joy and life for the residents.

There is also freedom for you to come up with ideas for daily activities with the residents.

Who are you

• You are between 14 and 17 years old
• You are outgoing and smiling
• You are good at small talk and presence
• You have a good amount of patience and empathy
• You are responsible and want to help others.

Salary and employment conditions

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Criminal record check

Upon hire, a criminal record check will be obtained. Employment is conditional on the criminal record being free of notes of significance for performing the specific position.

Fredericia Municipality is a tobacco-free workplace.

Working hours will be within the following time ranges

School days: between 16:00-20:00.

School holidays: between 10:00-20:00.

The employment ends the day you turn 18 years old.
