Sprogløft pedagogue for the East area

A language-lift pedagogue is sought for a 37-hour-per-week position in Area East - we would like you to start on January 1, 2027.

The position as a language-lift pedagogue is a cross-cutting role where you as a rule work in several day care centers within an area.

As a language-lift pedagogue you will both work from the specific linguistic difficulties of individual children, and be able to translate your knowledge about children's language development into interventions in the general language learning environment. As a language-lift pedagogue it is crucial to be able to guide the pedagogical staff in practice. Also to plan and carry out pedagogical processes that support all children's participation opportunities.

The position consists of two primary tasks in the area you will be employed in

• As a language-lift pedagogue you shall support the linguistic learning environment across an area (approximately 7 day care centers). Together with the pedagogical leader in each day care center and the language coordinators in the daycare, you set direction and goals for the processes that must be created to develop interaction between adults and children. This can, for example, involve thematic play, Language in Interaction (UGL) or other language strategies that can create a foundation for developing the learning environment for an entire classroom, or for a group of children. You will work professionally into an area, where you support the area leader in making decisions about which day care centers should have your competencies deployed.
• You shall work with individual interventions for children who, as assessed by PPR, are in need of a language lift program over 10-13 weeks. Here there will be support from a speech-hearing consultant, who continuously follows the child's development before, during and after a language lift program. The intervention you support should be able to be continued by the classroom staff and the day care center after the program.

Who are you? It is essential that you are passionate about working in practice with children's language development, both at the individual and group level. That you are good at creating a safe guidance space for pedagogical staff, and that you have a broad overview. Also that you enjoy a day with many different kinds of tasks and partners. You must be able to lead in practice, know when it is time to walk beside, and go slightly behind when you can see that your work has achieved the intended effect among the adults.

You must be strong in your communication and guidance in pedagogical practice; it will be crucial that you can gain followers in the task you will undertake together with the day care centers. You have professional competencies from practice and preferably relevant further education, e.g., Hanen certification, modules in Children's language acquisition, Language Pedagogy and Language Interventions, Guidance, documentation and collaboration regarding children's language.

New Language-Lift Pedagogue

You will be hired as a new language-lift pedagogue in Area East. Since each area has a language-lift pedagogue, you will not meet other employees with the same function in your area. There are seven language-lift pedagogues in total, of which you are one; you will meet them about every 4 weeks for sparring, and participate in two development meetings per year, where there is participation from the administration.

You will be employed as a language-lift pedagogue in Roskilde Municipality, with the possibility of working across several areas. You will be attached to Area East, and will be under the leadership of Area Manager Kit Andersen.
