About the job

We are seeking several dedicated social and health care professionals to tackle exciting tasks together with good colleagues in Greve Municipality's social-psychiatric acute service.

In the acute service we meet citizens who experience an acute mental crisis and need support, care and help to move forward safely. Some need help here and now. Others need us to quickly establish contact with the right partners. What is common to all is that they are met with respect, professionalism and the belief that there is a way forward.

We work recovery-oriented and with respect for the citizen being an expert in their own life. At the same time we place emphasis on high professionalism, safety, strong team spirit and close collaboration across the municipality, psychiatry and other actors.

About the job

As an employee you should be able to create calm and an overview in acute situations, perform professional assessments and together with the citizen find the next step.

Your tasks will among other things be to

  • receive and support citizens in acute mental crisis
  • perform social- and health-care-related assessments
  • work with crisis management, de-escalation and stabilization
  • coordinate with psychiatry, doctors, municipal services and relatives
  • document professional assessments and interventions
  • contribute to good and secure transitions to the right help.

The acute service is under development, and in the long term we expect that tasks can to a greater extent also take place outside the service. Therefore we would like you to see yourself in a function that includes telephone counseling, outreach work and support in the citizen's own home. A driver's license is an advantage.

About you

We imagine that you have a relevant social or health professional education, for example as a social educator, social worker, nurse or occupational therapist.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • build relationships quickly and respectfully
  • maintain calm and professional judgment in pressured situations
  • work recovery-oriented and rehabilitative
  • can make independent professional decisions
  • have a desire for cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • see possibilities rather than limitations.

Experience from social psychiatry, treatment psychiatry, the substance use field or other related areas is an advantage, but not a requirement.

About us

You will become part of an offering in development and have the opportunity to influence how the future social-psychiatric acute response in Greve Municipality should look.

In addition to solid professionalism we also seek a good colleague. We believe that strong professional results are created in strong communities. Therefore we place emphasis on a work environment characterized by trust, humor, helpfulness and mutual respect. We are not only interested in the citizens, but also in each other, and we prioritize creating a collegial community where there is room for both professional discussions, sparring and laughter in a daily life that can sometimes be demanding.

We highly value professional sparring, supervision and competency development. In principle there are always two employees on duty at the same time, so there is opportunity for ongoing sparring and support in carrying out tasks.

The acute service is organizationally anchored in the municipality's social psychiatry and has close collaboration with other services in the area.

Working hours

Acute crises do not follow ordinary office hours and the service's opening hours are 15:00-08:00 every day of the year. The position therefore involves work at varying times, including evening, weekend and night shifts. We are currently particularly seeking staff who can join evening and night shifts.

Your salary will be negotiated according to the agreement with your professional organization, and based on your qualifications. A criminal record check and references will be obtained in connection with employment.

Interviews are held on an ongoing basis.

Start as soon as possible.

If you would like to hear more about the position, you are very welcome to contact department head Maria Standal 23626812.
