Staff sought for the Kitchen at Esbjerg Hospital

The kitchen at Esbjerg Hospital is seeking kitchen professionals for the production team. Are you passionate about patients being offered tasty and delicious food?

The kitchen at Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospitals is in rapid development, and therefore we are looking for colleagues who have an interest in working in our kitchen and contributing to raising the core task, and who have a nutritional background, experience and/or education.

You will be employed as a nutrition assistant, or house assistant, therefore a broad range of professional backgrounds are relevant for the position (work/education such as: nutrition assistant, cook, caterer, butcher, baker, kitchen assistant, etc.) Working hours mainly day shifts (7-14.24) but also evening shifts (13-19.30), as well as working every 3rd weekend. Possibility for between 30 - 37 hours/week. The position is a full-time employment starting 01.01.2026.

The position is located in production and includes:

• Production of components for all meals at our 3 sites
• Production consists of hot holding, cooling and freezing production
• Production for several different diet forms
• Strong focus on sustainability and reducing the CO2 footprint
• Completion of self-checks, which like dishwashing and cleaning, are part of the work in all teams
• Serving meals for the hospital's patients and staff
• Other incidental work

The kitchen organization has about 64 full-time positions, where each employee is part of a team for efficient kitchen operation. Physically we are in the kitchen in Esbjerg and the receiving kitchens in Grindsted and at the psychiatry in Esbjerg.

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension here . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experiences and qualifications.

Please note that you are hired at the department level. This means you may be required to perform duties at other department service locations if required for the planning of the operations.
