Steril Assistants for the Shared Sterilization Center

About the position

We offer a full-time position in an exciting and developing environment with a focus on quality, flow and patient safety.

The position is a permanent evening shift with working hours from 15.00 to 23.00 and a work location at the Herlev campus.

As a new employee you will undergo a structured onboarding process, combining theory and practice. You will be assigned a mentor, who ensures a safe and thorough introduction in the first 8 weeks. Thereafter there is potential for ongoing competence development.

The competence development program includes, among other things

• Deepening of the reprocessing process, including washing, wrapping and sterilisation
• Operation of washing machines and autoclaves
• Introduction to automation (AGVs, robots, etc.)
• Microbiology and infection hygiene
• Instrument knowledge, care and maintenance
• Documentation and traceability via T-DOC
• Documentation of deviations
• Basic understanding of surgical procedures
• Work environment and safety

About you

We are seeking a colleague with either a health care or technical background, for example

• SOSU assistant
• Dental clinic assistant
• Experience from the pharmaceutical industry, food production or similar quality-controlled environments

The most important is that you are thorough, quality-conscious and eager to learn.

About us

The Common Steril Centre consists of two identical units, one at Rigshospitalet and one at the Herlev campus. Together we supply the entire Capital Region with sterile surgical instruments.

In DFS we reprocess surgical instruments in close interaction between manual and fully automated processes. Advanced robotic technology means our sterilisation centers are among the most automated in the world.

The Reprocessing Section handles all reprocessing processes in DFS. Sterilisation assistants handle many different instrument trays daily, operate machines and use IT systems tailored to the individual equipment.

Employment terms

Permanent evening shift (15.00-23.00)

• Full-time position
• Weekend shift every 4 weeks or as agreed
• Place of work: Herlev campus
• Start: As soon as possible or by agreement
• Non-smoking workplace

Salary and employment terms

Employment is generally under one of the agreements below. The starting salary may vary depending on your seniority, experience, education and the geographic location of the workplace.

Collective agreement

• Collective agreement for social and health care personnel - 32.03.1
• Collective agreement for administrative and IT staff

In addition to the starting salary you may have
