Student job: Supply Chain Analyst

Who is Cand?

The study job

In this study job you will help our partner to create more structure, overview and efficiency in the company's supply chain processes. You come close to the many steps between an order and the final delivery, and you get the opportunity to investigate how the processes work in practice – and where they can be made smarter.

Today there are many manual workflows, and an important part of your role will therefore be to document the processes, understand the connections and identify where it makes sense to automate or optimize. You will among other things work with MRP planning and contribute to developing a more data-driven approach to planning.

In other words, you should not just look at one part of the process. You must understand the mechanisms across and be able to connect your theoretical knowledge from studies to what actually happens on the shop floor.

Your tasks

• Document and describe existing supply chain processes
• Map the many steps from order to delivery
• Work with MRP planning and planning data
• Analyze processes and identify bottlenecks and inefficient workflows
• Investigate where manual processes can be automated
• Work with data and develop the basis for more efficient planning
• Contribute to optimizing flow and processes on the production floor
• Be involved in uncovering requirements and data needs in connection with development of WMS
• Discover processes where things are done in a certain way that does not necessarily make sense
• Translate theory and analysis into concrete improvements

The company

The company is located in Søften, which you can easily reach by bus. It is characterized by a direct and informal work environment, where high ambitions are combined with short decision paths. You will become part of a culture where things are carried out, and where your contribution is felt in everyday life. Collaboration takes place close across departments, and there is ongoing dialogue with both middle managers and management. The company is seeking 3 students from Cand and already one on board.
