About the job

Help strengthen the team that protects Denmark’s digital infrastructure when it matters most.

Would you like to turn structure, analysis and practical coordination into more effective crisis readiness? Join TDC NET and help maintain and develop the framework, tools and training that support our Crisis Management Team.

TDC NET owns and operates digital infrastructure that is critical to Denmark. Our Crisis Management framework helps the organisation respond when serious events require fast coordination, clear decisions and reliable communication. You will join the Business Continuity and Crisis Management area and work closely with experienced colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.

About the job

We are looking for a motivated and structured student assistant who wants to learn how crisis readiness is built in practice. You will support both the day-to-day maintenance of our Crisis Management framework and the continued development of the Crisis Management Team. The role combines practical coordination, document and data management, analysis, communication and continuous improvement work.

You will receive clear priorities and guidance, but you will also be trusted to be responsible for defined tasks and follow them through. Your work will contribute directly to making plans easier to use, training more effective, and improvement actions more visible.

Purpose of the role

Your purpose is to help keep our crisis-management setup current, organised and ready for use. You will support documents, exercises, readiness activities, reporting and follow-up, while learning how operational resilience and executive crisis management work in a large infrastructure company.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve crisis plans, appendices, role descriptions, quick guides, checklists and templates.
  • Coordinate practical preparation for workshops, activation drills and crisis exercises, including invitations, rooms, Teams setup, materials and participant data.
  • Collect and structure data from training, activations and exercises, and prepare clear overviews and PowerPoint material.
  • Maintain action and improvement trackers, follow up with owners and prepare concise status updates.
  • Support stronger decision logging, situation reporting, briefing flows and role-ready crisis-room materials.
  • Carry out desk research on crisis management, operational resilience, emerging risks and best practice.
  • Help explore, test and responsibly apply AI to improve crisis preparedness, response, recovery, decision and action logging, situation reporting and post-incident learning.

What you will work on from the start

Recent exercises have identified practical opportunities to make activation faster, clarify interfaces, improve decision and situation reporting. We also want to explore how responsible use of AI can improve crisis preparedness, response, recovery, reporting and continuous learning. You will help turn these lessons into updated tools, training material, trackers and follow-up activities. You will support the work, while decisions and formal ownership remain with the relevant specialists and leaders.

Your first months

During your first months, you will learn the Crisis Management framework, key roles, exercise cycle and improvement backlog. With support from the team, you will gradually take ownership of recurring practical tasks, selected improvement actions and clearly defined deliverables. You will be expected to keep overviews current, flag issues early, and ask for guidance when decisions or sensitive information are involved.

The role is designed to combine learning with real responsibility. You will work close to both operational specialists and senior stakeholders, but you will not make crisis decisions or replace specialist role holders. Your contribution is to make the process, tools, information and follow-up more reliable and easier to use.

“You will not just help maintain documents. You will help us turn lessons from exercises into practical improvements that enhance how the organisation prepares, coordinates and responds to a crisis.”

  • Noah Fröhlich, Head of Business Continuity, TDC NET

About you

We imagine that you

  • Are enrolled in a relevant higher-education programme, for example emergency and risk management, security, political science, business, engineering, communication, law or a similar field.
  • Work in a structured way, pay attention to detail and reliably finish what you start.
  • Can turn complex information into clear notes, simple overviews and well-structured slides.
  • Are curious, proactive and comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.
  • Are skilled using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, or motivated to become so quickly.
  • Have AI fluency, practical experience with AI tools or a genuine interest in learning how AI can be used responsibly in crisis management.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both in writing and verbally.
  • Can handle sensitive information responsibly and exercise sound judgement.
  • Are able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position. Employment will be conditional on successful security approval.
  • Can work approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods.

Previous experience with crisis management is not required. We value your structure, judgement, curiosity and willingness to learn.

What you will gain

  • Practical experience with crisis management, business continuity and operational resilience in critical infrastructure.
  • Insight into how executive teams prepare for and manage serious incidents.
  • Experience planning exercises, analysing results and converting lessons into practical improvements.
  • Enhanced capabilities in structured problem solving, project coordination, data analysis and executive communication.
  • Close collaboration with experienced colleagues across technology, security, operations, communications, legal and senior management.
  • The opportunity to take real responsibility for defined deliverables and see the impact of your work.
