Responsibilities

We are seeking a student assistant who will help us with primarily two types of communication tasks.

• Marketing, fairs and events - You will have an active role in marketing UC SYD in particular the western Jutland area, including events and fairs such as “UC SYD on tour” and high school visits, where you can take responsibility for smaller groups of fellow students. It requires that you are outgoing, flexible, take responsibility and dare to wear the leadership jacket and show a direction for those you have with you in the field. And don’t worry, we will introduce you thoroughly to this task, because it is important for UC SYD, and therefore it is also important that you can see yourself in exactly this part of the work.
• SoMe - You are already comfortable with social media, but also want to explore its professional use and have the courage to participate in front of the camera.

About you

You are engaged, structured, punctual and good at both independent work and collaboration. You are approachable, curious and have easy dialogue with both colleagues and external partners. It is a requirement that you have a driving license, and that you can participate in tasks outside UC SYD also in the evenings and on weekends.

You may also be creative, and if you have ideas that fit into the ongoing marketing strategy for UC SYD, we will rarely say no to them… If you are the driving force behind your projects, there are almost no limits, and this can also help to increase your hours.

About the job

We offer an exciting student job with varied tasks and flexible working hours spread over the week. You will on average work 5 hours per week. Perhaps considerably more at times if you are up for it and it does not interfere with your studies. You should expect that most tasks take place either on campus, at various events or at the region’s upper secondary education institutions where we participate in events. Your primary workplace will be Campus Esbjerg.

As mentioned, you must have a driving license, but you do not need your own car, as when you are in UC SYD’s service you can drive in our incredibly nice UC SYD cars.

About the department

You will become part of the communications department with eight staff members and a communications manager. We work broadly with communication, marketing, press, graphics and internal activities and help each other when things are busy. You will have colleagues at several campuses and become part of an informal, busy and social work environment with a focus on collaboration and community.

Salary and start date

You will be employed in Communications reporting to the head of communications. Pay is on student terms, and your employment is conditional on you being an active student at UC SYD.
