Student assistant for social media at AU Viborg

Do you have a handle on social media, can you write engaging texts and create tasty graphics in Canva? Are you independent, imaginative and with plenty of desire to learn more? And are you keen to be both in front of and behind the camera when we tell stories about life as a student? Then you might be the one we need as our new student assistant for recruiting future students at AU Viborg.

Aarhus University opened in 2024 three new programs at AU Viborg: Veterinary Medicine, Plant and Food Science and Animal Science. The third cohort has just started – and now we need you to showcase to future students what it means to be a student at AU Viborg.

Tasks

As our new student assistant at AU Viborg you will play an important role in relation to the communication we target at prospective students – from idea generation to production and distribution of content. You will work closely with our skilled SoMe Manager – so there is plenty of opportunity to soak up knowledge, brainstorm and develop your skills in communications and social media.

Your tasks will include

• Come up with good ideas for content based on your knowledge of the campus
• Participate in planning and production of posts
• Take part in videos and help convey stories in front of the camera
• Photograph and edit videos
• Do simple graphic work in Canva

We are looking for someone who can work independently, and who has plenty of drive and a desire to learn. It is therefore not a requirement that you have experience with all of the above points.

The working hours are on average 8 hours per week, and the workplace is Blichers Allé 20, 8830 Tjele, AU Viborg. There will be opportunities to tailor the tasks and working hours to fit how busy you are with your studies. There will also be opportunities to work from home from time to time, but we expect that you usually come to the office, where there is easy access to sparring and dialogue.

Wage and employment terms are governed by the collective agreement § 35 entered into between the Ministry of Taxation and HK/Stat for clerical officers, laboratory technicians and IT staff and the joint agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and Public Employees Organisations – The Public Sector Area (OAO-S joint agreement).

You must be an active student and document that you are enrolled at a higher education institution.
