About SUND Studier

At SUND Studier we work to create the best possible framework for our students. We are about 40 staff members and 15 student study counselors and assistants who collaborate on planning, guidance and educational development.

We have an informal culture with open doors – both with colleagues and management. We place a high value on the quality of our work, so we provide strong support for our education programs. We collaborate with each other, have lunch together and are happy to chat in the hallway about everything from weekend plans to major professional questions.

With us you have the opportunity to work remotely if there is a need for quiet to focus on tasks. You will become part of the Department of Education Administration and Guidance.

We work in professional teams, and you will join one or more teams and receive thorough onboarding as well as fixed colleagues who help you settle in both professionally and socially. Your leader will hold regular status meetings with you in the first months, so you get a safe and good start.

About the position

As our new colleague you will have a central role with both guidance and communication tasks. Your main tasks will be to ensure that prospective and current students receive qualified and present guidance – while the communication to them is targeted, clear and easily accessible.

It requires you to build solid knowledge of the contents and structure of the educations, so you can both guide students in their choices and assemble study programs. At the same time you must be able to convey both general and study-specific messages in a way that is relevant, understandable and valuable for the recipients. You thrive in a daily life where you have both fixed tasks and can take on ad hoc tasks, where you use the organization and your team to find solutions.

We expect you to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also thriving in a team where the professionalism is high and where sparring and a good mood are a natural part of everyday life.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Study guidance of students through 1:1 guidance, collective events, by training our student study counselors and ensuring good and clear communication to the students
• Ensure coherence and quality in SUND Studier’s communication to prospective and current students
• Contribute to the work of updating and developing the communication to prospective students
• Contribute to guidance and communication in connection with the implementation of new study regulations
• Contribute to the development and rethinking of our digital guidance and study information
• Ensure ongoing feedback and evaluation of our guidance and communication efforts
• Organize and hold activities for current and prospective students
• Administrative tasks within guidance and study information.

Academic and personal qualifications

We expect you to have both strong guidance and communication skills, enabling you to communicate and guide in complex rules and processes in a way that is understandable for the recipient.

In addition, we place emphasis on that you

• have a relevant higher academic education, preferably supplemented with courses and experience in guidance and communication from a similar position
• have good collaboration skills, so you can achieve good results together with your colleagues in SUND Studier, at the institutes and across the university.
• are ambitious, structured and take independent responsibility for achieving good results with your tasks.
• see solutions and opportunities in relation to using AI both in guidance and in communication work.
• work professionally with guidance and can translate your guiding expertise into practice – both in personal conversations, presentations, projects and through training of student study counselors.

We expect to conduct interviews on November 13 (1st interview) and November 17 (2nd interview). You will receive a case in connection with the 2nd interview.
